I'll add the pic as soon as I hit send, I can't figure out how to start a new post with the app. I'm a wee bit tech-challenged. Anyway, my mom bought me this quilted banner at a craft show and she was SO excited to give it to me for Christmas. She talked and talked about how it is colors that match my decor so it's a wreath but I could totally leave it out all year. I had something hanging there already and just threw this on a nail so I could look at it and decide where it should go. But, now that it's up, it's looking reeeeaaalllllyyy Christmassy to me. I'm not sure if it's because it really is or if it's because i'm taking Christmas stuff down today so it's jumping out at me. So, would you leave this up all year or just for the holidays and when my mom comes to visit ?

To me, it's pretty Christmassy, but that's because it's not my style. Pretty, though!

(if it goes up for good, it will be pressed and properly hung. It's teetering on one little screw for now, looking a hot mess! It's hard to tell in the pic but it's red and silver, no green)

To me, it's pretty Christmasy, but that's because it's not my style. Pretty, though! That might be part of my issue, the bones of my house are very much this style (and my moms style) , but i...well, i'm not. I really like this piece and think it's gorgeous but it's not something I would've ever picked for myself.

I'm at that point of my life that if I like something, I leave it up. That being said, I DID take down my tree. Steph, if you like it, leave it up. If you're conflicted, put it up when your mom visits.

Looks kind of Christmassy to me too. But if you like it and it matches your other stuff, leave it up. I have primitive snowmen up in my house year round (but I live where it's cold half the year, so there's that).

Well,my house looks like Halloween year round, so I may not be the best to offer an opinion. I do think it looks a tad Christmasy. That being said, if you like it, leave it up, if not just hang when mom visits.

I think it's beautiful but very Christmassy. But really, if you like it then who cares if it is not "seasonally relevant". ( I read that phrase on a decorating blog and have been dying to use it. Thanks for the opportunity, Steph!)

I have mercury glass shit up year round, I find it around the holidays. But I love it and it's my house. I do what I want.

Glad I could be of service! ha.
I think i'm going to put it away close by so I can pull it out when she visits. It'll be great for christmas, but a little too country for the rest of my world I think.

I think it's pretty and a little Christmasy, and if I liked it and it made me smile, I would leave it up.
I'm missing the colored lights on my Christmas tree and wishing I would have left it up all year.

Are the flowers poinsettias? I blew up the photo, but it's too blurry to tell. But they look that way. If so, it's definitely Christmas.
I think the photo reads Christmas. And if it's not your style I wouldn't hang it. It looks very county (and 1990) to me.

I think it's beautiful but I'd take it down by the end of this month then bring it out mid November next year. Or hang it in the hall?

Christmassy. I would hang it up every year, but would not leave it up year round. (This is from someone who leaves a fall wreath up year round bc it matches my decor and I like it. Do what suits you.)

Will it make you happy to see it hanging up? If not, save it for Christmas. It is very pretty.

I say too Christmassy...for me, while it's pretty, it would irritate me if I left it up all year.

LOL, I *do* leave them up inside the front windows year round because they are a PITA to put up and take down! I just don't plug them in or turn them on.

it's hard for me to really tell in the pictures, but I also vote Christmas. I see poinsettia flowers in it when I look.

Well I'm the wrong person to ask. I posted a picture of my "Christmas Card Tree". I took the cards off, but I've decided to keep the tree out all year round. (Although it will probably end up in the basement. ). I my defense, it's not technically a "Christmas Tree" - it's one of those mini-trees 4-5 feet tall with just bare branches and white mini lights. I'm going to put hearts on it for Valentine Day and shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day. The lights are soft white, so it makes a nice night light when watching TV. (That's my story and I'm sticking to it. LOL)

I put up this tree a few weeks before Christmas and have decided to leave it up for awhile. My take is ... If 'you' like it keep it. For what it's worth, I'd probably keep your hanging up for awhile Attachments:

It is pretty Christmassy. I like it though. My mom would have loved it. My daughters grandma has a really nice Thomas Kincaid Christmas village and She bought a cario cabinet for it so she can leave it in there all year. It is on one shelf and she has other stuff on the other shelves.
I think if you want to leave it up year round you would have to have the perfect place to put it. It wouldn't work every where.

To me it is. Having it up all year would take away it's true beauty during the holidays.

Pretty, but seems Christmas-y to me. I'd put it up at Christmas, down the rest of the year. But I'll admit to having a nativity scene that I keep up all year.
