I would like to make a few freezer meals for a new mom who would already has a 2 year old, but the family is pretty picky. The 2 year old is the most adventurous eater! No tomatoes, no onions, nothing too fancy. I have a Mac and cheese recipe I know the dad likes that I will make, but need some other ideas. Maybe something Mexican? I know they like Taco Bell I was also going to make a rotisserie chicken and take some frozen peas, but what else could I take for that? I don't really have any good travelling potato recipes. Thanks for any suggestions or links!

What about breakfast items??? Make some of those egg "cups" or some burritos that have eggs in them?? Or even just some cold meat and nice rolls???

Cheesy (funeral) potatoes should travel well, and I would think mashed would be fine, too. Does no tomatoes mean no tomato sauce, either? If not, you could do a lasagna or mostaccioli or even take them some sauce and uncooked pasta that they can make easily. Lunch meat trays with bread and condiments are good, too.

If they're that picky, I would make them a nice dessert and bring them a gift card for a place they can order in.

I have a very picky SO and I have a lot more success freezing components of dinner, since he doesn't like his food touching. I always have individual meatloafs (I make the meatloaf into a round disk the size of a burger) wrapped in bacon (one slice, around the outside), double baked cheese potatoes, seasoned or marinated chicken etc.
If you are that concerned about it not being eaten due to pickiness, I agree with a nice dessert.. or basket of muffins etc... and a gift card for a local restaurant that delivers.

Thanks for the suggestions Going too try funeral potatoes, I have never made them, so going to see if our recipe board has a recipe. Also going to do the meatloaf wrapped with bacon, they will love that.
We live in an area where food delivery is only pizza, I have never lived in any city thst had food delivery other then pizza, I just assumed that was a NYC thing.
Regarding breakfast burritos, I know they would love those too, is that something that I could make and would actually freeze ok?

While searching for something else, I found these threads that might have information you'd find helpful: Thread #1Thread #2Thread #3Here's a recipe for Funeral Potatoes. Good luck. It's difficult to cook for picky eaters.
