So I got a call for an interview and spoke to the girl twice.. Once to setup interview and again today because they had to reschedule. I JUST received a reject letter for same position (I believe) from someone else. Do I call and see what is up? Or shall I just leave alone and get my foot in the door? My gut is saying not to respond to the email and go to the interview. I am 95% sure I only applied to one job. (Although I have applied to so many I can't keep track.. I have since then started a spreadsheet to help)

I'd ignore the email for now and just go to the interview. Even if they intended to reject you the appointment exists so they can't easily back out face to face. You just might wow them in person if you didn't on paper.
(my dad got a job under similar circumstances. One person scheduled and interview and another rejected his application. He went to the interview and got the job)

I agree 100%. I would think that anytime you can take advantage of the opportunity for an interview it increases your chances greatly.

Agree, I would go to the interview. Because it is very possible that the email was a mistake.

Not sure how I'd feel about a company that seems so conflicted internally. That's a real eye-opener about how things run there. Proceed with caution, and good luck!

It's actually a VERY good place to get on with. I do have a friend who works there (for over 10 years) and sent her an email asking her about it. (We are LONG time friends and can trust her 100%)... The benefits alone are excellent (A HUGE pension type benefit). It's not a mom/pop type place, it's a very well known retirement benefit type company.
