I am not a big fan of having a man do my pedicure until it's time for the massage! I am however more comfortable with a woman.

It doesn't bother me, although I often find men to be more chatty. Like Katie, I don't really want them to talk much - I would think reading my Kindle would indicate that, but sometimes they seem clueless.
We need to talk about Foot Spas though. You want a silent leg rub? You need to find a foot spa in your area. I may start a thread.

My last pedi was by a man. He did an amazing job. It seemed to last longer, and the massage was... WOW!
I need to ask for him tomorrow when I go back for another pedi.

No it wouldn't bother me. I actually prefer a male massage therapist, too.

I'm not picky ... man or woman. I just love pedicures! As long as the massage is good and they don't chat too much I'm in heaven.

I'd always had pedis done by women. Then one day I went to my regular place and a man did it. The massaging, oh.my.goodness. I may or may not have asked him to marry me.

It never even occurred to me to think twice about it.
At my nail salon the employees are split about 50/50 male/female.
It so common that it doesn't even register to me.

Skill matters more than gender. Do a great job and I don't care if you are a purple alien.

No, I actually prefer it. The girls are too light in the leg massage part of the pedicure. Actually I used to HATE going because I'm so ticklish. When they start touching the middle under feet I have to sit on my hands and not to wiggle too much.

I don't normally get pedicures,I do them myself. I have had a couple at the nail salon my DD and my bff go to. It's a family run business, and some of the help are very young with almost no English. When I saw a young teenage boy approach me I thought I'd have to leave. It just felt too weird! Thankfully he went to the next client and the grandma did mine. No way could I relax with a teenage boy massaging my feet. Ick. DD confirmed that he was, indeed,a teenager and not a young looking man because she went to school with him. So I have my doubts that he was licensed, but whatever.

I've never seen a man do a pedicure so obviously haven't had one, but I sure wouldn't mind. Not all that much different than a male stylist.

I don't care. My place seems to have all the guys do the pedicures and a mixture of guys and women do the manicures. Don't know why. Don't think I've ever seen a girl do a pedicure. My feet are extremely ticklish so usually I just get a polish change and a gel manicure.

Nope - the men give better leg and foot massages. I actually request the men.

I don't care if it's a man or a woman, young or old. As long as they can massage my legs with enough pressure and not tickle my feet, I don't care who touches them. Same with massages, facials, etc. Gender doesn't make a difference to me, but the skill level is more important.

You'll put up with people dealing with your feet and toes as long as they don't talk too much? How very kind. Do people say this about their doctors? I'm thinking no.
