I prefer a woman to do my pedicure since they are more gentle with my feet, which are "delicate." I have found that men who have done my pedis have been a bit less gentle.

You'll put up with people dealing with your feet and toes as long as they don't talk too much? How very kind. Do people say this about their doctors? I'm thinking no. Truth be told, I don't like chatting with my doctor when he's examining me, which is different than communicating about my health. I don't think it's unkindness or disrespect - just personal preference. I'm pleasant and polite, but only comfortably chatty with people I know very well, and even then I crave breaks. I'd be a lousy manicurist or - God forbid! - bartender. In fact, my hairstylist is an introvert who focuses better in silence, but ended up in a notoriously chatty profession, so he plays the game. He and I enjoy a comfortable silence, and he's told me he's grateful for the reprieve.

I dont care as long as they do my feet. I love chatting so I really don't mind them talking.

In answer to the OP's question. No, why would it, If he is suitably qualified? My gynaecologist is a man, and that is a far more intimate thing.

DD8 and I went a few weeks ago and she had a man doing her pedi. He did and awesome job including some pretty cool polka dots. He was overall really sweet to her.

Not at all. One of the best ones I've ever had was by a man. But they are few and far between that there are men at the nail salons I go to.

I have done pedicures for the past 15 years or so. I am sure I had a few guys years ago but I don't really remember. The last few years I had a guy once. He was in a hurry. The entire time. It was the most hurried, stressful, pedicure I have ever had. It made me made and all I could think was I bet you are aren't good to your woman in bed either! LOL I bet you rush, take care of yourself and BAM are done. I know kind of a funny thought but it was my pedicure and pampering and it made it anything but enjoyable or relaxing.

The salon I go to doesn't have any men working there. The only man who is there is the owners husband and he is busy doing shop stuff, not doing mani/pedis.
To answer your question, I don't think I'd really want a man doing my mani/pedis but if that is the only one who could do it that day, I would just go ahead and get it done.
