I just booked a suite from the 10th-18th and i'm already ready to pack my bags. I can't even wait. I've done Mardi Gras once but dh and the kids have never been. I found a suite with 2 queen beds, a king and a pull out sofa so we're taking my best friend, her mom and her 2 boys with us too...I can't wait to see if my kids fall in love with the city like I did on my first trip. Hopefully they do b/c we're thinking about moving down there in 5 years after Jordan graduates. I hope hope hope they move with us and i'm crossing my fingers for Tulane but if not, I at least hope they love it enough to want to visit every chance they possibly can

If you've been, what were your favorite places and things or the ones you'd avoid at all costs? We've got a membership to the aquarium, zoo, butterfly garden and insectarium, they'll always be on the list, I love the aquarium especially!
