I swear, how miserable! I haven't had a cold since Nov. 2008 (I know because it was when I was in boot camp) I forgot how awful they can be!!! DH has been great, making me soup, bringing me meds etc.
How long do your colds last? It's been so long I don't really remember how they run their course. My DSIL is supposed to come over and craft tomorrow, I hope I am up for it.

colds typically last 7 to 14 days. You can pass it on during the first 4 days you have symptoms. May want to cancel with you dsil so you aren't spreading it. Sorry you are sick!

Feel better soon! My experience is they usually last a week! But, not being miserable that whole time. Gradually getting better! Rest and stay hydrated!

I'm usually miserable for 2-3 days. Then it's not too bad for the next 2-3 days.

Wednesday I was a little congested. Thursday I knew I was coming down with a cold. Yesterday and today have been the worst, admittedly it may be in part to me knowing I don't have to get out of bed, so I'm choosing not to lol. I will call DSIL and see what she thinks (she's a nurse, I defer to her on all things health.)

When *I* get sick it is the sickest anyone in the history of the world being sick. I am sick for bloody forever, I get a bad cough, perhaps pneumonia and feel like death for the duration of the plague. Yes, I am dramatic. I hate being sick. I had the flu in the fall of 2014 and thought it was the end of my life. I went to my GP to get Theraflu and told her I am starting a new job and I can't take time off from work. She said to me, "you are going to be too sick to work".
I find Earl Grey tea with lemon helps a bad cold. I hate Earl Grey tea. I really hate it. It just works for a cold for me.
I hope you feel much better really quickly, though!
