I feel like I've "seen it all" but I know that can't possibly be the case. So, I come to the refupeas for guidance. Tell me about something relatively new that you know about in the scrapbooking world. Something you like. Maybe something you don't like. Embellishments, storage, technique, stores, anything.... Thanks!

I took a class on using acrylic pieces at the Scrapbook Expo from Clear Scraps. They just came out with these phone stands, which look fun to decorate and give as gifts. Not really scrapbooking, but you can still play with your supplies.

To give it more context, there are other styles, so vintage refers to the shape I guess.

Have you tried foiling? It's so so fun. You can use a laminator but I've been having fun using two-way glue. I applied it to this robot's silvery parts, let it dry to where it was just tacky and then pressed silver foil to it. I took this picture in the evening so it's hard to tell but I'll try to remember to take a better one in the daylight. This is DS's Valentine - he's really into space and robots right now

Here's a new organizational system by WRMK that I thought was intriguing: Also, I'm holding an online class for scrapbooking organization starting Monday, 2/1. It's a new spin on this type of class because it deals a lot with simplifying your stash first, THEN organizing it. The goal is to stop letting your stash get in the way of your scrapbooking. If that resonates with anyone, I'd love to have you check it out HERE. I think Marie Kondo's "Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up" has really hit home with a lot of us who have so much STUFF, it's impeding our creativity. That what my class is based on. So you could say that's something "new" in scrapbooking too I've always been one to cling to all of my stash but I'm finally "over it" LOL. And have you seen this?

I am in love with the Pebbles chips from their new Valentine line. They are SOOOO pretty! Not yet. Is it messy? This is DS's Valentine - he's really into space and robots right now You did a beautiful job on that! He will love it! Tim Holtz has new crayons coming out I need to look into that. I can color with crayons. I'm pretty sure that's Lavender-proof. I'm holding an online class for scrapbooking organization starting Monday, 2/1. That's awesome!

Heidi Swapp always has cool new stuff out in my opinion. She has that excitement that I use to feel over the scrapbooking industry 8-10 years ago, but I also love her style.
I love all the new products that Tim Holtz designs & love seeing tons of new stuff, even though he's not really my style.

I recently tried two tools/trends that have been around for the past few months: the Fuse tool and foiling. I'm sold on both!

The coolest thing to me is print and cut on the silhouette. Being able to make my own diecuts or stickers is freakin' awesome. As much as I love the minc, it's not an everyday tool. Print and cut, however, I could use in so many different ways. There's no end to the options.

I love making sequin pockets and would love to have a reliable way of doing so beautifully. I had watched some videos months ago and I had no issues using it, I hit the ground running. The only tip I followed is to let it heat up 10 minutes and it's worked for me!

I don't know if it's a brand-new product or whether it's a new crossover product - it's new to me, however - but Heidi Swapp just introduced three new foil reactive mediums for the Minc machine. There's a reactive paint, mist and a silkscreen medium. Now if she would just come out with aa reactive clear ink pad, I would be in heaven! The possibilities with these new products are endless.

Someone told me last night that she lets hers heat up 30 minutes!! Is that safe to do? That seems like a really long time to let it heat up.

I'd just like an ink pad so I can get the coverage I want. A brush stroke of the paint results in a foiled brush stroke. I'm really looking forward to playing with it all.

I want a Fuse so bad. Gonna get one soon. Someone told me last night that she lets hers heat up 30 minutes!! I just got one on clearance at Js for $8.99. It was just stuck on top of a shelf, no pricing. Others have found it at the same price at Js. Worth the hunt!

As far as the 30 minutes, this person said she had trouble with hers until she started heating it up 30 minutes prior. I'll probably go 15. haha.
