I have been working on a cruise scrapbook. The last photos left to finish it off are all 8 x 10. I have been sitting here with everything scattered all over my coffee table ready to scrap and my mind is blank. Looked through pinterest and not really found anything. All these are photo shots of my dh and I that that photographer took. Some casual, some formal.
I need help !! Please show me or tell me what you do with your photos.

yes. I just mat them and put them on cardstock maybe add some journalling and/or an embellishment. I might crop them if they call for it. I don't know what to do with them otherwise...don't want them framed in my house anywhere...at least not long term.

I do. I use a 12x12 format and embellish lightly. The photos are on my EHD which is not with me at the moment. However, I do have this one of an 8x8 or 6x8 photo that is paper scrapped that I found on my portable hard drive. I doAnd I have several digital examples on my flikr account of larger sized photos, but most are digital pages. I would, however, do my paper layouts the same way. For those 8x10 cruise portraits when I paper scrapped, I just put one photo on the page with minimal embellishment. Now that I'm digi, I have to scan them in in order to use them. I can re-size to whatever I need. So you could scan them, re-size and print.

Yes I sure do. They usually turn out to be my favorite pages. I just love flipping through an album and having a "wow" reaction at seeing a really nice large photo. I will do 8x8, 8x10, 8x12 or even print a 12x12 photo and have the facing page with smaller, similar shots.

I am currently working on a cruise album as well . I just printed two 8x10 purposely !! Lol. Yes, I like 12x12 pages using 8x10 photos and yes I would scrapbook them. I have a Pinterest board I pin to titled "pocket album/vacation" with a few larger photo pages I intend to scrap lift .

I do. I've used 8x10, 8x8 and 10x10 on 12x12 two page layouts. That way I can put the big pic on one side with a title and smaller support photos and journaling on the other page without things feeling too cramped. We have an amazing portrait photographer for DD so there are usually several from every session that I print bigger on purpose.

We have a travel sketch book that addresses this issue! Several of the 30 sketches feature 8x10 (and 10x8) photo spots, with the added advantage that the 8x10 photos also have a grid that shows you can use four 4x5 or 5x4 in that place instead. Here's a link if you are interested. The book is available as a print copy or as an e-book: Sketches For Scrapbooking: Travel Sketches

I like LO's with big photos like that, so I definitely scrap them. I usually do them 12x12, sometimes I journal on white space on the photo and I usually keep it pretty simple on those LO's.
