I just found out today that my dog, who is about to turn 7, has this. I had to take her to a veterinary dermatologist after several visits to the regular vet, and he diagnosed it right away.
For the treatment we are going to do antibiotics (10 days), cyclosporine (not sure how long), weekly baths in a special shampoo, and in a few weeks I will start injecting her every two weeks for life. Fortunately, giving her a bath is pretty easy.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience or advice to share.
Thanks!

My border collie had bad dermitis until we changed his food. It took trying a few brands, but Taste of the Wild was the brand that completely cleared his skin.

Her allergy is not to food, but to pollens. They did a blood test to pinpoint the specific pollens.
I wish it were food. That would be so much easier!
