I want to get a new iPad mini. I'm thinking 16 will be enough, but not sure. On my phone I have 800 pictures, which is probably alot. I play a few games (nothing interactive) no Facebook. Just the average apps I guess. Except for all my pictures that I have a hard time deleting ! ha. Thanks.

I have a 16 gb and it's pretty full. I wish I had the 32 gb. Always get the most memory you can afford.

I have the 16 and it's full. I don't have many photos on there either. I've deleted the movies. I've deleted apps. I keep having to delete things. It doesn't help I let my DD use it so I have a bunch of apps for her too. If you can afford the 32, I'd recommend that one. I've already told DH that I will be getting at least 32 next time.

If you can, I would get the 32gig. I like to down load movies and tv shows to watch on the plane when I travel . I still do not have enough room sometimes.

When it comes to electronics get the most you can afford. I have 32, if I need to upgrade I would rather it be for better features not space.

I have the 32. Remember some space is taken up by things you don't control, so your personal storage space is smaller than the total GB.

Thanks for replying. Most people I have asked say that the 16 will be enough.
That's why I'm asking here. The (my) experts ! Thanks again.

64GB, and mine is nearly full . It entirely depends on what you're using it for, but you'll be surprised how quickly it can fill up. I agree you should get the most you can afford.

32 here. I've no idea whether it is nearly full or not. I wouldn't have a clue where to look.

I have a 16 and have had it for about a year and a half. I am just now getting closer to using up my available space. If I add much more, things will start having to go to make room for the new.

16 and it's never once been full.
For me, I think of what I use my iPhone for and what I use my iPad for. I'll get a larger iPhone when I upgrade next year (had the same one four years!) but would not likely upgrade my iPad. I mainly use it for browsing or watching videos on a plane. All my videos are in a cloud of some sort and easily re-downloaded. I keep zero photos on there. (I think taking photos/video with an iPad looks silly, personally).
My phone, however, has become my primary point and shoot camera, and I really would like a larger size to take more photos/videos at concerts, etc.
I just can't justify a larger size for photos and videos for an iPad when I can store them for free and download them in minutes when I want them.

I don't have movies, TV shows, many pictures or music on mine so a 16 has always been more than enough for me. Before deciding on what size you want, figure out what you want to be able to put on it and go from there.

Wow ~ I did not know about downloading TV shows and movies !! Woo Hoo this is going to be great fun.
I guess it doesn't matter where I buy it from because Apple is Apple - right ? Yep, I think I'm going to get the 32. Thanks so much.

I have 32 on my iPad with plenty of room. My phone is 16 and I wish I had gotten 32. I would rather have too much space than not enough.

I have an older ipad2 that is 32g. When I upgrade, I'll get the 64 unless they are offering something even bigger. Movies suck up a lot of space and I like to keep a couple on there if we are stuck somewhere without wifi and I need to keep myself or the kids distracted. Buy the most storage you can afford.

I like not having to manage the space by deleting or re-downloading things from the Cloud.

I have the 16 - it's been plenty for me. But - I don't store pictures on it - they're either on my phone or my desktop; I don't store music on it - that's on my phone or nano; I don't store movies - because I'm just not interested. I have some books downloaded and quite a few apps.
I think it really depends on what you're going to use it for.

My first iPad was a 16gb. Now I'm in the same boat with this ^^^^. And, yes, I agree with a PP that you shouldn't forget that some of that space is taken up by things out of your control.

When I got a new iPhone last fall, the store assured me that the middle size would be fine based on what I had currently. It wasn't. It was full almost immediately. I SO regret not getting the largest one.

I have the 64 and it's full. But I have thousands of pictures on it, as we were visiting family and I had several albums set up of different big events. Now that we are home, I'll take most of them off again.
But I'll agree. If you store photos on your iPad or lots of movies/videos, you definitely want the larger storage capacity. Same thing with music--music takes up a lot of room.

I have a 64gb iPad and there is only 57gb available to use. I have filled it up several times and then had to delete stuff.
I bought the extra memory because I thought I would just use the iPad for movies, books, and magazines. I never thought I would use it for as many things as I do. All of my recipes are on here, as well as any documents that I might need to access while away from home.

I had a 64GB iPad2 and I loved it as far as space goes. I got a 16gb iPad Mini and I hate the lack of space! I can't figure out what the 'other' is that's taking up so much space. I have EVERYTHING turned off as far as sharing on iCloud, no photos and I've had to delete all of my magazines too. I'm pretty pissed at myself for getting the 16GB. I should have held out for the 32 or 64. I do have a few books but nothing one would consider a lot. The 'other' crap is taking up quite a bit of space, but, again, I can't figure out what it is so that I can get rid of it.
