Maybe she feels the same? Make a new name.

I am shocked that two people could register with the same name.,,

I didn't think two people could share the same user name. That's quite odd.

Aren't there two different names? One is your username and then one is your display name? So maybe she registered using a different name but you both picked the same display name.
I agree with Z*G though, if you don't like it, just pick a new name, add a number, etc. I certainly don't think anyone is trying to steal your "board identity."

I just checked the members list - the other agnes has registered with a different name (July 1st) but chose agnes as her display name. I see you managed to register with the name agnes (July 7th) and used the same display name. Perhaps you can add a little something extra to your display name to differentiate yourself?

There are two with the name agnes. I assume you use agnes as both your name and username. She it appears uses agnes as her name but her username is different.
Does the name agnes show up on posts for both of you?

Looks like you gave yourself a different username. I must admit I can't understand why the name and username need to co exist, and can be different. However, it would appear that she has done nothing wrong. Get yourself a striking avatar.

Yeah, I would suggest adding something to your display name and getting a memorable avatar. Maybe add your state or something else that is uniquely you because first names are not really that unique!

Well, that explains why you (or the other agnes) didn't know what I was talking about when I mentioned the Navigator cover. I found the original 2peas thread in my watchlist and honest, it really was "agnes" that I sent it to!

The site allows only one person to register with a name. and that name is the default displayed name. But once registered anyone can change their display name to anything they want even if it is in use. The whole board can be agnes if we wanted to have an agnes day.
The OP registered as margaretzf (hover your cursor over her name) then changed her user name to agnes. The other agnes registered as agnes and left the default user name in place.
The registered agnes is a more prolific poster than margaret/agnes.
To me the name agnes actually belongs to the person who registered as agnes. If margaret wants to be anges she is the one that needs to find a number or asci art to distinguish herself since she isn't the registered one. And I go more by avatar then name anyway so a distinctive avatar is more important than a name to me. To me you just blend in with everyone that is using the kiwi avatar so it doesn't matter if there are 100 named agnes.

I say you go all regal - like the European monarchs do. You could become Agnes the First or Agnes the Merciful, etc. Get creative and set yourself apart!

It seems you registered first (July 1st) but your username is margaretzf and your display name is agnes The other refupea registered July 6th but registered with the username as agnes (same display name). It think if you had registered with the username of agnes on July 1st, I am sure it wouldn't have allowed another user to register with the same name. Sorry, but it seems that since your username is margaretzf, then your display name should be changed. if you want agnes - maybe change it to agnes_1 or something similar.

I hear you.
I registered on 2peas where then was literally no one was registered. I used me first name, not ever realizing how huge it would become. Eventually, others had my same name, but added little symbols. No offense to the others, but I didn't like seeing others with slight variations on my username. I have different usernames elsewhere these days.

Yeah, I don't really get why we ned two names. But I agree with some other posters - get a really specific avatar and that is what registers most strongly with people. The default Kiwi and the cartoon drawings really just blend together for me.
