nylene , I do notice little improvements in my vision. My regular eye doctor said that my vision isn't legal for driving yet but close. I have noticed in the last couple of days the starburst around the lights at night are better. I was told it can take up to 3 months for my vision to stabilize. She said I would be able to drive very soon. I am ready!! kellyr21, married life is going good! I have had my limit of him today though. LOL!! He is driving me around and he was trying to get around a truck when we just had to turn at the next stop to be home. I reminded him he was driving my car and to be more patient. It didn't go over well. scrapincin , I love all your cards! I really like the shape of the first couple of cards. Very cute! LisaDV, Thanks! I have been told by my doctor that everything is healing as expected. I just hope it continues! Today is national walk your dog day. The park board here had a free event at a few local parks for the day. Do DH and I took my pug, Phoebe, for the event. She got tired by the end of the walk! That park is beautiful since they have redone it. There is a cave with a lake and walking paths. The weather was sunny and in the 50's. It was a nice little walk. Then we had to pick up furniture. I got another night stand so we could have matching night stands that go with my bed. Tonight was supposed to be a scrapbook meet up at the library but no one else RSVP'd. I think think some of the ladies are on a cruise! I hope to relax this evening.

Here is the page about meeting Kara, a Stampin' Up rep I met here on 2peas Refugees. My neighbor and I had a chance to meet IRL in Salt Lake while she was here for a Convention. We had a great time together. This layout has a blue border on each side, but somehow my scanner didn't add that on 3 of the sides. Good Times_paint by Nylene Budge, on Flickr Dani B., your boys are heart throbs! I'll bet you have a lot of girls hanging around them. Such handsome young men. I was sure you just had your youngest son. Obviously my memory is slipping. I'm sending warm wishes and prayers for your son's healing. It's hard for kids to be immobilized for very long. It's so nice to have you checking in. We didn't get any tickets to the Olympics because we left at that time. DH had a week-long convention in Texas and then we flew right to Japan to meet our DD. We spent 10 days with her and her host families and when we got home, the Olympics were just about over. knutschen , so glad your eyes are improving. Being able to drive is such a privilege. I had to chuckle at your comment to your husband about being patient. There are a lot of adjustments to be made in those first few years of marriage. When you have been married as long as we have, you'll be finishing each other's sentences. LOL LisaDV , your trip sounds fun and relaxing. I hope you can find your DD's triggers and help to avoid migraines. I often get the auras and fuzzy vision before the pain hits. My first symptom is usually related to my eyes. I know some of my triggers and try to be careful to avoid them. I don't think I've ever been sick to my stomach until after they are full blown. Good luck in treating these. Just having a diagnosis is a first step. BTW, I repeat, you are such a great mom. Love that your kids cook with you. kellyr21 , sounds like you are busy being artistic. Be sure to let us know when you post your video. Thanks for the well wishes. I really am feeling better than I have felt for 4 months. I envy you your warm weather and walks in the park. We woke up to snow again today! scrapincin , your cards are beautiful. I love following your Pinterest card board because I love your taste in cards. I hope the weather stays nice now so you won't have any more snow days. Will you have the kids all summer? maribeth , I love coming to see your quotes and upbeat posts. You are truly a ray of sunshine on the thread. Hope you get good camping weather soon! I need to run. I'm sure I'm forgetting things but..............................I'll be back!

Good mid-Tuesday-morning Pokeys knutschen - The park you went to sounds great. My husband walks his dog everyday about five miles. Snowing today so they will probably not walk today. nylene - great page (left love) LisaDV - I sure hope you can come up with some answers for your DD. I suffered horribly as a child with migranes, but luckily I have not had a single incident in at least 10 years, maybe longer. Have a wonderful day Pokey's

Happy Tuesday! Here is the link to my virtual art show. For you newer ladies, I see myself as a out-of-the-blue crafter and artist. All of a sudden I was had a desire to make cards, draw or paint. It was so unexpected and such a joy. Cindy and Nylene have been with me from the beginning and it is so great to still feel their cheers.
Kellys Art Show
I also, have opened a new shop on Society 6 featuring some of the art from the video. I love how they can put my images on all sorts of products along with making prints. Ron and I want to get my K. Simone Designs business back up and running so this is a first step in that direction. So excited! I would like to get my Etsy shop up to. Maybe this is the year of rebirth! Fingers crossed!
Dani- What a wonderful family you have and I know you are so proud of them.
Jana- Hope you are feeling better and a fun day celebrating your doggy sounds like great medicine.
Nylene- What a cute page and what fun you all had. I am sending some sun rays to ya today. Did you feel it yet??? LOL! I hope Spring comes to you soon. We were supposed to get "El Nino" and it never came. We had a day here and there with rain but it wasn't even heavy long lasting rain. So maybe the weather folks got it wrong cause it has been sunny and warm for a while now.

knutschen, had to laugh at your husband's driving. My husband grew up around Chicago, so I get impatient driving. nylene, love the page. maribeth & nylene, sorry that you both suffer or have suffered from migranes. I had them several times when pregnant with Gabriella, and only 1x since and NEVER before. They stink. Thanks for the well wishes for my DD.

Hi Pokey's, I'm a member over at Get It Scrapped and have been for years. They have a yearly month long event called Calvinball where the goal is just to get as many layouts done as possible and to talk smack, because who doesn't love smack talking?! I saw that maribeth is joining in the fun this year. This will be my first time playing too. It's free to play. Is anyone else from here playing there?

Ho Pokeys! Hope all is well with everyone! Looks like you gals are busy busy busy. I did not accomplish much today-had a doctor's appointment with a new doctor and he was running way behind. We shall see if that continues. Anyway I thought I would stop by and read everything. ' Kelly-your art show is fabulous! You have so much talent-I would not know where to begin making an art show like that. Loved the colors, music and your art work. YOU ROCK!!!!!!
Lisa-you have been so busy and now this large crop! I was a nurse in an allergy office and we had a girl who had stomach migraines. She was so bad she would have to be admitted due to dehydration from them. I sure hope the meds they gave you help her. I too suffer with migraines-at one time I had them everyday for 3 years. Then I got Imitrex and that drug really helps me. I know she is not old enough to be given that-not sure of all the requirements for that.
Thanks for all your kind comments on my cards. I actually made them as a gift for someone who likes my cards so I made her a collection of them. I will give them to her tomorrow.
Time to get off as I have written War & Peace here-See you tomorrow!

Good Wednesday morning Pokeys Today's quote was inspired by kellyr21 art show. Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time. Author: Thomas Mertonkellyr21 - You did a magnificent job on your virtual art show. Thank you so much for sharing that part of you with us. I so admire artists. I could not find you on Society 6, could you post a link? Update I found the link on your blog.

Good morning Pokey folk! It's a dreary, gray, rainy day here. I don't even want to get out of my pajamas this morning. Kellie -- I love your virtual art show. Joy and love shines from your work. I especially love the very first piece, it makes me smile.
Can I have a bit of a mom brag today? My son earned his Eagle rank in scouts last night. I'm so proud of his hard work and perseverance. Scouts has been so good for him, and I'm very happy he stuck with it all the way.

maryannscraps - Of course you can have a mom brag day? I think a mom has a right to brag ANY DAY! Congratulations to you and your son for his accomplishment. I so admire the Scouts program, I think it is very beneficial, maybe now more than ever. It is so important for children these days to be involved in activities that promote such good values and allow them to explore the world in the safety and guidance of the Scout Leaders. So I say VERY WELL DONE, to you and your son.

It's Thursday Pokeys Hubby is going to go grab a camping site and I will meet him sometime tomorrow. Hoping the boss will let me off work after the meeting with the Insurance auditor. We are still in a fairly slow cycle at work and there is certainly no real reason for me to have to stay, but....those of you that know my boss has a real hard time letting me go, I think I am kinda his security blanket. But here is hoping! I always follow my the quote for the day when it comes to my work ethic, so my tasks are done. Quote for the Day: Leave nothing for tomorrow which can be done today. Author: Abraham LincolnBut I am light on projects this month, partly because of getting ready for camping, but mostly because I am "PUTTING OFF" (contrary to my quote), projects until March, so I can have a high count for CalvinBall over at Get It Scrapped. Get ready for lots of project posts starting March1. Have a wonderful day Pokey's

I too suffer with migraines-at one time I had them everyday for 3 years. YIKES!!! That's horrible. I'm glad the medicine helped you. maryannscraps, Congrats to your son! That is a huge deal! maribeth, hope you enjoy your camping time and I hope you get off early. But here in Michigan it is 26 degrees. Can't even fathom going camping! Waving hi to everyone! I've been trying to be like maribeth 's cleaning lady this afternoon and still have a bit to do before I can call it quits today.

Happy Thursday! Thanks so much for all the cheers and applauds you ladies sent to me regarding my art video. Honestly, I was nervous about this art since it was sort of different from my other art. But as an artist I am experimenting and trying different styles that reflect where I am in my life. So my art is evolving just as I am. I want to keep playing around with this messy background style and see what else I come up with. I'll got ideas, baby! LOL!
Maryann- How exciting to have such an accomplished son, so brag away!
Maribeth- Thanks for sharing that quote! So true! My art has helped me so much. Love it! Also, so cool you are going camping! I hope you can get off early too. Have a great time!
Cindy- I just loved your comments about how I made the video. I have a program on my computer called "movie maker" and it was fun using it to help me make a lovely video. It was some work but the programs helps a lot.
Waving hi to all you gals and have a nice evening!

It's Camping Day! Pokeys. Here is a photo my hubby sent me yesterday from the campsite. camping dog by Maribeth and Jim Robison, on Flickr I can not wait to get there. Hopefully as soon as the WC audit is done I can head on down the road. Last night I did start prepping a bit for CalvinBall. My Home Sweet Home project has been waiting along time for me to get back to it. I am doing a project of all the homes I have ever lived in (or as many as I can remember). I don't have photos of most of the places so I have used Google Maps street view to obtain the images. In some cases I can not remember the exact location (although I am still walking the virtual streets trying to find them), and may just do journaling for those. This project is difficult for me to work on when hubby is around, as so many of the places I lived were during my first marriage (to a very mean man), and it is kind of a sore spot with my husband. But, this was a part of my history and I still feel it should be documented. I tend to work on this project when he is not around, and since he was camping last night it was a good time to get some of the prep work done on these. I probably won't post again until Sunday when we get back from camping, so.......HAPPY WEEKEND POKEYS, hope you all have a blast, even if you aren't going camping with us! (hey that would be fun).

Hi everyone! Hope you are all off to a great start on your weekend. I just stopped by to post a card I made-a birthday card for my daughter Becky. Her birthday was Monday but they were too busy last weekend to have her dinner so tomorrow is the day. Maggie spent the night to help bake and decorate the birthday cake. I had to make a card of course! LOL Maribeth I hope you totally enjoy your camping trip this weekend! Here is my card: 030-02 by Cindy Blair, on Flickr Hopefully I will be back tomorrow.

Hi, my Pokey friends. I am sorry I haven't had a chance to hop on. I am up to my ears in quilts and card making supplies to help my DD with her Women's Meeting tomorrow night. I think I have everything ready now and just need to pack it up and take it to the Church. maryannscraps, of course you can brag on your son. Earning the Eagle is a great accomplishment. I really enjoyed my time working with Review Boards for Eagle Candidates. My son said he thought having "Eagle Scout" on his resume' when applying for jobs while going to college was a real asset. I think it is such a great way for young men to live their values and set and meet goals. Hooray for your new Eagle! maribeth, is that your little doggie? How was the weekend for you? I hope you guys had a great time. I have to tell you that my DMIL at age 90 had a saying, "Never do TODAY what can be saved for TOMORROW, so you have a reason to get up." She always went to bed knowing there was something to be done the next day. She died at 93 and kept busy to the end, even though she was blind. So when we get really old we can change the quote....I think that's allowed! kellyr21, I am anxiously waiting for my DSIL to get back into town so he can fix my computer so I can see your video. He is always worried that I will get into something dangerous so he sets my security really high. Lately I can't even watch a You Tube video. He has been traveling for work, but should be able to remote in tomorrow or the next day and reset it. I have loved all your artwork, so I can hardly wait to see the new works. scrapincin, I love that card. I made one similar for a 2Peas crop years ago, but have not remembered how to do it. I did find a tutorial, but haven't tried it yet. It is such a pretty look. I love the corner stamp. Is that a Stampin Up? Your stamped butterfly is so pretty too. Beautiful card, my friend. LisaDV, how is your DD doing since you got home. I hope she is getting some relief. I know I won't get a chance to change to the March thread tomorrow, but I'll do it on Wednesday. See you all on Wednesday.
