I had about 20 layouts lying around waiting for titles and/or journaling and I'm down to two. Getting close to finishing those is giving me more scrapping momentum and I want to keep it going. After I'm done with those two I need to edit a large batch of pictures and order them. Next I'd like to give kit making a try. As I was working on titles I went through my thickers and other letter stickers and found that almost none of them worked for my layouts. I've been using my Silhouette for titles for so long that I don't really think of using them very often. If I want to put them to use I'll need to find paper and other embellishments to go with them or else they'll just keep gathering dust. I'll try to match up the pictures I'll be expecting in the mail with the kits and also look for sketches so I can get right to work on them. I'd also like to continue with the free classes I signed up for on scrapbook.com. I've never taken classes before, free or bought, so this is new and fun for me. I tried one technique today and I really liked it. Anyone else setting goals for the month?

Good for you! I really don't have any specific scrapbooking goals. I do however have a very long to-do list.....sigh!

February goal: finish January goals

Well, it's sort of scrappy related. I need to set up my own little room that I can scrapbook in. I'm too, too, too excited! I've emptied the room, washed it down, patched the wall, and this weekend I need to paint it.
Then I just have to find the perfect table/desk/somewhere to scrap on.
And I need to order the BH&G cubes to put my scrapbooks in.
I can't believe I'm finally going to have a little nook of my own.

Congrats, LavenderLayoutLady. Enjoy putting your own crafty space together. I had depleted all my cards for Ronald McDonald House so this weekend I plan to finish up enough to be able to send out a batch for January and February. By the end of the month, I hope to have made enough for the next 4 months. The organization for this month's Cards for a Cause is an animal rescue group so I get to pull out my dog, cat and hamster stamps to make thank you cards for them. On the decluttering/reorganizing front, I did reorganize my dies with dividers and am really happy with the results. Now I need to pick the next area to work on - maybe card stock.

February goal: finish January goals I completely understand. I think I had the same goals from September through December.

I love this idea - I really need to start setting more goals. Not just for scrapbooking either.
I think though, right now, my main goals would be actually starting my Project Life style journal project that I'm planning on doing for the year. (It's like... a pocket style art journal or an art journal with pocket pages added? Or something, lol) I'd also like to start working on my son's album. He was stillborn last June, full term, and I think starting this would really help me work through it.

I don't have any goals for this month other than to just create. I just finished my room (pics will be updated in my other thread in the next week or so!) I want to get a feel for my rhythm now that I have a dedicated space. After that, I will start setting hard goals next month. I also need to be flexible this month because I'm starting a new job Monday, eek! Not to mention I just started project life, and listersgottalist, and a mini album, all in addition to the last 21213214 years worth of 12x12 layouts I still need to make. Did I fall down the rabbit hole or what?! danimakesgood, I just wanted to say I am so very sorry for your loss, my heart aches for you.

Since I just decided to do PL for this year my goal is to get up to date. I've done weeks 1 and 2 today. I also have about a gazillion projects underway that I'd like to work on but I'm going to focus on completing the layout that is currently on my desk. danimakesgood I am sorry for your loss and hope this album helps you heal.

Still in refurbishing the house mode here. The contractors are finally done with their part as of Friday and now our work starts. I rearranged the craft room furniture this past week, but will be continuing to work on getting that in better shape. A whole side of the room is still being used to store items that belong in the rooms that were refurbished. So I'll be limited in what i can do until that section is out. I have 5 more weeks of advanced art journaling class that I'm teaching, and I need to continue to work on that and having things ready for the young ladies. Any bits of free time will be used to complete a journaling spot swap I'm in. I would love to do the bonus and scrap stash challenges here. But layouts this month may be more of a wish than an reality. LavenderLayoutLady, have fun creating your craft space. It's very exciting! danimakesgood, so sorry for your loss! We lost my nephew the same way 3 years ago. I wanted to suggest a scrapbook to my SIL and never did. Bless you! and Lot of hugs being sent your way!

February goal: finish January goals lololol!! I am STILL working on my Air Force album. It is 3 volumes and I am down to the last probably 20 pages of mostly memorabilia (newspaper articles, forms, documents). I have a crop next weekend and I have a goal to actually finish........................ I have a getaway/retreat in 2 weeks and I am going to work on my son's live action role play photos. I have more than 100 to scrap but it's fun - lots of kings and queens and medieval stuff. It's ongoing so it won't ever be done for a long time but I would at least like it to be current. So that's my February scrap goals.

I have done several baby books for babies like your son and I have found some absolutely lovely poems and song lyrics. One I particularly love is by Shelly Duvall called 'Before you were born." I modified the end just slightly. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ps4k0rwR_2Q Maybe you will like it and find some comfort in it.

My goals for February:
1. scrap the photos from our trip to Key West 2. upload photos and order some prints - I have a few layouts that I may want to use some different sized photos so I need to sit down and do some planning 3. get some of other people's stuff out of my scrap room

Wow ladies! I really admire you all setting so many goals. I seem to have lost my scrappy mojo. I'm trying to get it back by reading here, shopping a tiny bit, etc... So my goal is just pull out some pictures and DO something.

It feels so good to set up your space after not having one for a while. Keep us posted on your progress. Small update on my progress. Walls are painted. And I ordered a BH&G 8 cube storage unit last night that should arrive by the 17th. I'm still looking for "the desk." I figure I will know it when I see it, and I don't want to rush and grab the first one that is okay, then find the perfect one a week later.

I'm moving along comfortably with my goals. I finished the layout that was on my desk. It was simple but it's done and in the album. And I've finished week 3 on my PL and weeks 4 and 5 just need a couple of finishing touches and they'll be done too.

I had a January goal and I completed it. YAY me. Now it was to totally get organized. Which I did. I went thru everything. It was awesome I even purged some items. Its also has me thinking about other stuff I should get rid of. Which next round I think it could happen.
February I need to make a card this weekend. Actually I should make more than one. I need to make a cheer up card for someone. And I think I need to make a few to send at least once a week.
I had an art journal class last weekend. So I used supplies.
As packages are coming in I am processing them and putting them away properly. I'm thinking Friday night I will be sorting stamps. I have repackaged all my stamps and dies and I'm loving it. Just need to sort the stamps now. Category wise. So I have a full PVR I'm thinking Friday night may be the night.
I have found a new found join in my supplies recently. I am really enjoying using them and making more time for my hobby.

I don't make New Years Resolutions, or set monthly goals, but I DO have a general scrapping goal to finish up putting my fall photos (and a few summer ones) on pages.
I always gravitate to the newest photos, so I dropped the fall pages and got right in to Christmas and that much of my Winter album is finished. Now I have a bunch of photos from dh's bd in January and our trip to Abbotsford to visit ds & his family in February, but so far I am sticking to my guns, and this week I have about 10 fall pages to prove it!
Also, I promised dd when they adopted their little guy aged 2 1/2 in July that I would make their first year album, like I have done for her nieces and nephews when they were born. Have started it, but barely through the first month. My goal is to have my other scrapping DONE up to date so I can focus on that album at the LSS crop I will be part of in April.

The BH&G 8 cube storage thing came yesterday! (two days after I ordered it! Holy cow!)
I put it together (all by myself!)
It's pretty empty right now. Just holding a couple paper pads and four albums (I needed to make sure they fit. I was literally going to take it apart and re-box to return that puppy if they didn't. It was the whole reason I bought it in the first place. THEY FIT!!)
