They are all 10/11 and NO ONE is asleep yet. They are being good - a movie is on and everyone is quiet but this mom is sooooooo ready for bed and has to be up at 7am. I don't feel right about going to bed until at least most of them are asleep......

oaksong, I don't know where the OP is, but my kids don't have school tomorrow. It is the end of the quarter and the teachers have a work day - no school. To the OP, at this point I would tell your daughter to come get you if they need you and go to bed.

You're brave! They would be on a countdown now, if it was me....in fact it would have started an hour ago but yes, I would give them a time at which they needed to be in bed and at least trying to sleep then I would feel ok going to sleep. Good luck!

14 girls? Wow, you're one brave Momma! I would never let my girls have more than 6 at a sleepover. That seemed to be the magic number where they all got along with minimal drama!

God bless you! I remember having those slumber parties at my house when I was little. I appreciate my mom for letting me do it.

I'd go to bed. They will come and get you if they need you. Trust me you'll hear them before they get all the way to you!!

I wish we had a house big enough for a large sleepover. Personally I would say lights out. Once you do that they will be asleep in about an hour. In my experience as long as there is a movie/tv on some will be awake.

You are brave! My 16 yr. old daughter has a group of boys over to hang out and the noise is tolerable. My 12 yr. old has 2 girls over to hang out or sleepover and the noise/energy nearly puts my husband over the edge! At least these 2 girls are super nice, just extremely loud! That's why I try to plan her sleepovers when my husband is out of town! You are a great mom! I hope they have a great time!

I would have gone to bed. I'd tell them to get wherever they were going to be sleeping and just chill there. Then I'd have gone to bed. Whenever my dd (11) goes to sleepovers, they try to do all nighters. So I'm not staying up for that.

14 . You are one brave lady. I hope you managed to get some sleep. DD had 7 girls for a grade 6 sleepover and I said never again, only 1 or 2 at a time after that.

For my dd's 13th birthday I took 6 girls to a water park hotel. It was about 11:30. I was exhausted and in the "upstairs" loft bedroom (no wall to the lower level). The girls were all sleeping on the main floor in queen beds and pull out couch.
They of course were excited. They were texting their friends and oh, each other. Yes, that would be the friend they were NEXT to!
Well, about 11:30-12:00 I went down the stairs and was the phone cop. I took ALL hostages. ALL.....I collected ALL phones. Promised the girls they'd get them back in the morning, once everyone was up. One girl had a horrible meltdown from it. It was just stupid.
Anyhow, I had the girls turn all the phones off and took the phones to the loft with me. I then took a photo of all of them. The girls then actually chatted with each other until about 1 or so, at least that's what I heard. It was actually nice to hear girl talk!
Just a suggestion for those who may decide to take a group to a hotel!!

Brave mama! My DD had a sleepover at a friends last month. They stayed up until 3 am. Bounced back up at her normal 7 am time. I'm FB friends with one of the other moms in her circle of friends and of course HER kid took a nap. My kid was just crabby all day and passed out cold early. Our house is too small for sleepovers right now, but when we move in the spring I suspect it will happen for us too.

Woah, lucky you!
We do one big sleepover a year. 15 or so girls in that age range for DD's birthday. It's tiring! And I never make plans for the next day bc I can bank on me getting no sleep! Good luck at work!!
