My mom is popping in for a quick visit and we thought we would make the 3.5 hour drive up to check this place out. My mom is acting like a kid who was told she is going to Disneyland lol. I tried looking them up online but not much information about the actual store (or apparently stores) themselves. Just that there is quite a few different stores in the town. Many blogs have talked about going and being overwhelmed by the selection etc. I was hoping to find a "plan your visit" type thing but haven't found it. Has anyone here been there??

I don't know anything about them but it makes me happy that your mom is so giddy about going to the store.
Just think of all the memories you are going to make!
Have fun on your road trip!

you might post at quiltingboard.com or at least search there. There might be some good advice.

OMG, what a neat shop! My MIL is an avid quilter and I just texted her that we're so going next time they come down. My FIL is going to be like why is my wallet crying? She loves Batik prints, and they literally have an entire store devoted to batiks. Very cool to see this small rural town able to come back due to the business.

Missouri Star Quilt Co. have their own forums. You should find lots of information there.

I have been many times as it is only an hour or so from me. Expect to see lots of fabric in several stores. Last time I was there, there was five or so but they were planning to open others. Several other places have opened in town to eat and shop. Blue Sage ihas delicious food, or if you want something fast, there is a good burger shop right next to the original store. One little negative comment. Please lower expectations about the town itself. To call it plain would be kind.
