I'm super picky about anything I subscribe to these days. Super. Picky.
For those of you who sub, is Ali's story kit and stamp worth it? I'm really interested in the monthly class content as well, I just think that sounds so fantastic, inspiration and education. I love the focus on the story, that really has me intrigued, as I'm realizing that's what I want to focus on, all these stories!
Do you think the content quality has stayed the same month to month? I sub to the Messy Box by A Beautiful Mess and the whole kit really went downhill fast... I'm about to just pay and cancel that sub actually. I sub at SC as well, but am this close to cancelling that just because I'm frustrated with their practices and all the changes lately. I barely purchase anything extra each month.
I'm really hesitant to subscribe to anything else involved with SC. So is it worth it? Do you love it? Not so much? Would love opinions!

I have loved every Story Kit and stamp from the past 12 months. In my opinion, it's worth every penny. If you don't mind the SC connection, go for it!

Ali's kits are wonderful. I have subscribed to both the Stamp and Story kit since the beginning, and have not regretted it once. The class content and free digitals (with both kits) are extremely useful. I honestly use her stamps more than any other product I own. They help me tell the story. My vote is YAY! Give it a try!

I may just finally break up with SC and definitely the Messy Box and start subbing to this. I feel like I need less random and more push to really document. I suppose I can definitely at least try one month, then go for a lengthier sub if I like it!
I felt so burned by the Messy Box that I've been super picky when looking for subs elsewhere. But I do so enjoy monthly subs!

It may cost a bit more, but might just ease your mind about a long term financial commitment. I did that with my first month - then I was completely hooked.

Do it! The education portion alone is worth the cost!

I've been subbing to the Story Kit for a few months now and I say 'yay' as well. I agree with bethquiroz that the educational content alone is worth the monthly cost. There's enough product for me to make 2-4 layouts or pocket pages each month and I'm really enjoying the thematic approach. Do a 1 month trial and see how you like it - I'm pretty sure you won't regret signing up

I would qualify my "yay" with only if you have good, reliable, high speed internet. For me at least, the class content justifies the price completely.... But it is a lot of video (that can't be downloaded for later viewing). We have the fastest DSL available to us, but not the speeds people get in cities and even the suburbs around us. I could never actually just watch her lessons. I finally had to cancel after six months because I wasn't going to get up at 3:00 for fast enough internet speed and without the class content it wasn't worth it to me. At least she is offering an audio only track for her PL class currently which is better.

I love it and find it very inspiring. If you sub to both the stamp and story kit, then you get free digitals.
I just started buying the Elle's Studio kit on the 10th of the month. Doesn't include paper, but I love the cards and embellishments. It's $10 on the 10th. Great if you want some fun, inexpensive happy mail.

If you use the Google Chrome browser, there is a free plug in available that allows you to download the videos. It's called "Video Downloader Professional." I haven't had any problems with it. FYI...

Another vote for "yay". I love her Story Kits. I find there is a good mix of the theme-based products and ones that are general enough to use for whatever story you want to tell. And like mentioned, the class content is pretty much worth the price itself. I've also found the kits to be very consistent, quantity and quality-wise. I really have no complaints! I get the odd Story Stamp here and there when it is one I really love. If the Canadian dollar was better I would likely sub to the stamp as well (love that you get the digital kit for free when you sub to the Kit and Stamp!), but with where it's at now, I just can't commit monthly.

I love my subscription. I get the stamp and story collection and haven't been disappointed once in the products. I had an issue once with something arriving broken and it was immediately replaced. I don't think she has the same customer service issues as the rest of Studio Calico. I also think that the kits are pretty usable. You can use the products for more than just the theme of the month. I love listening to her videos. I always come away having got something from them.

Video is ok, but since we also stream our tv, it can get bogged down fast!

I don't even pocket scrap and I ordered the Heart story kit and story Stamp, which means I got the free digis! I would not worry about ali's quality going down as I honestly believe she is a genuine person who cares about her customers. I adore Ali's ideology and her products are top drawer. Everything was well packaged, high quality and exactly as shown on her site. The educational material is such a nice bonus. Her enthusiasm is really enough to get anyone excited. I only ordered the kits as a one off, because, as I said, I don't pocket scrap, but I do stamp quite a lot and I use cards on layouts. the embellishments that were included were lovely. The foil hearts were amazing! I want like 100 of those. I would not hesitate to order another set of kits again if I loved them.

We tried to get an on demand movie a few weeks ago... It took THREE DAYS to download to our receiver. It really stinks that now satellite and even amazon prime have that sort of service (which is how they justify the price) bundled into the deal when it is worthless for some people.

I don't do Project Life or any type of pocket scrapping either and I still feel like I get plenty of value from her kits. I cut up the cards and use them on layouts and I also use them whole sometimes. I have not used anything from the digi kits. I may try that here sometime soon. The digital images are something that I consider a freebie and a bonus, so it doesn't bother me that I'm not using them.
