And it's awesome! We have been wanting to move here for years and were finally able to make it happen this year. We had not even closed on the house and I just had to go visit the store and look around. Can't wait until we're settled in enough that I can spend a Saturday there and take classes and attend crops. We are on the edge of the city close to Republic and our son will be attending Republic Middle School starting this coming Monday. Anyone else close by?

How fun! How close is it to Kansas City? My DD and future SIL will be moving to KC after they get married in May.

Kansas City and Springfield is about a 2 1/2 hour trip for me -- and I'm generally known to have a pretty heavy foot on the gas pedal! I appreciate any brick and mortar store, but I've never understood the appeal of Scrapbook Generations. It is dark inside and we have never received a very inviting, or even warm, welcome. I don't need constant monitoring, but a "hello - is there anything I can help you with" goes a long way. Generally all we've received is a surly glance

oops, you're right - Kansas City is much further than I thought. But I'm still having trouble finding the gas station on the corner so I should have known better than to estimate the distance, lol. I thought the store was very bright, all the latest products and the staff was very nice. I was a little surprised to see so much space devoted to the new adult coloring books, but maybe that's just because I'm not into that. I only had a short amount of time to browse, so am looking forward to discovering more when I can take my time.

I was there a couple of years ago and the store was big and bright with tons of new product. There was one person working and she stayed at the register. If I had any questions she helped (pleasantly). I was happy with my experience and would definitely shop again if I go back to the area.
