I have a set of battery operated candles I bought from QVC several years ago. They turn on every evening. The batteries last almost six months. I needed some more for another room and made the mistake of buying them at Hobby Lobby...not only do they take more batteries but they pooped out within two weeks. And I know it wasn't defective batteries as we used two separate batches of new ones. I'm really surprised that there is such a difference in quality.

Mine HL battery operated candles last a month- and I thought that was bad. Two weeks is ridiculous.
I might have to step up and buy the QVC ones. Does anyone have experience with Pottery Barn, or other brands? How long do they last?

The ones at Pottery Barn are the Luminara brand. The are $$$. I have one, which I love and I wish I could afford more. Here is a link to hsn. HSN flame less candles

Pier One also has battery candles. The batteries last fine.

I just saw the Luminara at Tuesday Morning and have seen them at Kohl's.

We bought this set for ds #2 for Christmas. They have been running on the same set of batteries and been on 24 hours per day since then. They make a nice nightlight in his room - he doesn't like sleeping in the dark. Anyhow, I've been happy with them.

I would try returning the Hobby Lobby ones for a store credit.
I have heard good things about the Pottery Barn ones.
