Sorry for the late thread post. We left at 8am yesterday and didn't get back until midnight. I did fairly well yesterday considering. I was going to prep food on Friday but I ended up having to go to get my dd from school Friday afternoon because she fell on the ice and smacked her head on the pavement. She had a major headache and was dizzy so it required a trip to Urgent Care. That burned most of my Friday. Mild concussion for her. So I didn't get my food prep done so we ended up having to eat out most of the day yesterday. For lunch we stopped at Subway and I had a 6" ham & turkey with veggies and dh and I shared a bag of baked chips. Then dinner - we were originally supposed to go out to a pub but because of some big winter fest, they couldn't fit in 20 people. So we were going to do Applebees but the wait there was long. We ended up at a diner...where I chose a roast turkey dinner. Yep, I ate mashed potatoes (1/2 cup), white meat turkey, and some stuffing. That's all I had for food yesterday - oh and breakfast was oatmeal. I stayed away from the cookies being served at the calling hours yesterday and at dinner I stayed away from the homemade white rolls they were offering. Today we have soccer...and I'm trying to eat light since weigh in tomorrow. No workout at all yet this weekend. I'm not sure if I'll get anything in today. My MIL is here and I have no idea when she's leaving today. Have a good day ladies!!

I'm sorry your DD got hurt. Prayers for quick healing! I weighed in at a .6 lb. loss. Not much, but better than nothing. A loss is a loss! So, down 4.2 since the 11th. Looking forward to my snug pants (That fit last year at this time, but were a teeny tiny bit snug. Now, I can button them, but they are quite snug.) to fit again. That will be the true judgment of how Yoga is working for me. Speaking of, I added a 3rd class this past week. Hoping to do the same this week, but I have a lot of doggy stuff going on, so we'll see. Hopefully, DH will join me on Thursday night. Have a good week, everyone!

Brandy, sounds like you made good food choices considering the circumstances. And sorry about your DD. Praying she feels better today!
I have eaten well all week, and I will weigh in tomorrow. Praying it yields a bit of a loss anyway. I have also been entering some of my recipes into WW. Mom's stuffed peppers are 6 points, and my spicy meatloaf is 4 points. So very excited about that! And they make great leftovers too.
Have a great day everyone!

Oh no, so sorry to hear about your DD!! Poor thing, and poor mama too! Sounds like you did great on eating. I'm actually always quite surprised when I look up mashed potatoes - as long as you keep the portion reasonable, which you clearly did, the calories on them aren't too bad. And that's with butter in the nutrition info I'm looking up, I always look at restaurant values. Great choices. Nothing too much up here. Trying to decide what to have for dinner tonight. My parents might stop by for awhile to watch a little of the super bowl, so I'd like something that's easy to have warm but not a sit-down dinner. I have some chicken cilantro soup in the freezer, I think, I might use that. Yesterday I made Fathead Pizza Crust. I used egg beaters to bring the calories down a bit. It was VERY easy to make and seriously tasty. A great low-carb alternative, I can see also making a really thin panini on it or using it in place of a bagel thin or something like that. I think once you cook them they would freeze well too. The calories add up fast but I divided it into 6 separate crusts so it wasn't too bad. I'd say 1/6th was about the size of a normal slice of pizza from Papa John's. I patted out with my hands and then did use my rolling pin to get it as thin as possible - I like my meals to look substantial, LOL. It is about 50% higher in calories than my cauliflower pizza crusts, and no veggies in it, but much more versatile and closer to bread. I think I'll stick with cauliflower crusts day to day but keep this recipe close by for when I want something that is more bread-like. It would make excellent crackers (crisps up once it cools off) or breadsticks too.

An--do you have a recipe that you use for the cauliflower crust or any tips?
Brandy--sorry about your daughter. That is scary stuff. Hopefully she is feeling better.
This weekend has not been good for me in regards to eating. Friday we went to Red Robin (it just opened here and that is where the kids wanted to go). I didn't overdo it but I'm sure it was still my whole days calories. Didn't eat much else that day. Yesterday I had an egg sandwich for breakfast then gave in to a large cookie. Had a piece of pizza for lunch and totally crashed. We had stir fry for dinner but I was tired and dragging all day. Need to remember that next weekend. I don't usually overeat on weekends but eat the wrong kinds of foods. Going to stay on track today as much as possible, given it is the super bowl.

Thanks for the review AN
Well, yesterday ended up being a huge splurge day for me, but I think I needed it. For breakfast we went to a diner. I had a BLT and hash browns. Calories were not too bad, just not the way I typically eat.
The. We met some friends at a casino for their son's 21st birthday at midnight. I was starving by 1:00. I did not plan well and could feel myself getting shaky. I was going to get something from their cafe. A turkey sandwich, but it was so dirty and the food prep girl was redoing her ponytail. Ughhhhh. I could not eat anything they had. I ended up with the only repackaged option. Candy. The hershey bar with almonds was the least horrible of the horrible choices.
Then on our way home, 5:00 am, we all stopped at Denny's.
However, it will be a great day to try out my spaghetti squash for lunch considering I will need to be low calorie until dinner.

Hope your daughter is doing well, Brandy. Stupid ice. I fell on it last year, and my friend said my head bounced. No bueno. Recovered fine, though, and she will too. Eating this week was good considering. Considerations: I was in the south (oh, yum), dinner wasn't served until 9pm one night, there are snacks and food and soda available constantly. It was fairly easy this week, and I don't know why, but I won't question it. Can't weigh this weekend because of shark week, and I don't need that kind of morale killer. Going to run/walk/schlep this morning and do some yoga. Back on the road tomorrow, need to replenish my good snack stash and take my running clothes. I'll be in San Diego, and without excuses to get out there and do stuff.

I hope your DD is feeling better.
I did not do well this weekend. We were away Friday night to Sunday morning. My exercise was skiing Saturday morning. I ended up eating an unhealthy dinner and with too many beers. Today I didn't work out but my food isn't too terrible. Tomorrow I'll be back to counting calories and my regular exercise.

TankTop, I have 1 cheat meal, and 1 dessert every weekend. It keeps me on track all week, knowing I get something special on the weekend. I almost always share, so it's not RHAT bad, but, it hits the spot.

I almost always share, so it's not RHAT bad, but, it hits the spot. I used to do that when I did WW years ago. It is wonderful. I will probably do it this time around too after I get comfortable with everything again. It does really help to just enjoy and not worry about it!

Kristin, if you search or look through my post history, I shared my Cauli pizza recipe in the last couple months. It is kind of long and I am on mobile the biggest thing I do differently than most recipes you find online is I do not cook or squeeze the moisture out of my Shredded cauliflower before using it. I have used recipes with both mozzarella and goat cheese and like them. I am using goat cheese now to keep calories down vs the quantity of mozzarella needed. I may try to make a hybrid from fathead and Cauli in the future though. Also, use parchment paper with either, this is an absolute must. I decided to take the fat head recipe and make mini taco cups out of it. It worked well! I rolled it out and used a biscuit cutter to make the size to fit in a mini muffin pan. I think they would be better in a full size muffin tin as they do puff a bit when cooking, but you could easily fill these with eggs, pizza topping, taco stuff, etc. Super sturdy.

Hey girls!
Brandy, I hope your DD is doing better! Any kind of head trauma is scary.
My weight has stayed steady, which is good considering I've been on full rest for the last 5 days. I can feel myself getting antsy though, so I'm trying to stay away from too much comfort food.
Hip is super painful in the mornings but I do move better as the day progresses and I've been sleeping well.
Counting down to my chiropractor appointment tomorrow. I'm having barbell withdrawals!
For Super Bowl I made a toffee apple dip (apples-healthy, dip-not!) and DD and I are getting ready to decorate some sugar cookies since she'll be gone for Valentine's Day. I'll have one or two and the rest will go to the party with us.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday!

I had my first official weigh-in yesterday at WW. I'm down 2.6 lbs my first week. I'm pretty happy with that considering my exercise was lacking and I had a couple of days things went a little awry. I did not exercise yesterday. I'm working on it. It's so not my favorite thing to do and I tend to find ways to avoid it. I'm pretty good at avoiding it. Ugh, but it's going to be a necessary component to me losing weight so I need to do it. To that end, my goal this week is to get 3 workouts in. It's not a lot, but honestly, with my work schedule, weekly doctor/orthodontist/therapy appointments for the kids, I can barely keep my head straight. So three days seems do-able. Today, my daughter had a make-up rehearsal for the Spring ballet production. It was an hour and a half so I decided to get my sneakers on and walk. I walked 3.5 miles in about an hour. I'm ok with that. I've got my steps for the day (yay!) so Day 1 down! Now, I'm gearing up for the Super Bowl. I have turkey chili cooking now and making some chicken wings. There will be some guacamole and chips. I'm planning on the chili and some wings a bit of guac and a few chips 'cause I like 'em.

brandy327 you did a great job this weekend considering the circumstances! Yay! I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. Hope she's feeling better. Concussions are scary! KikiPea- a loss is a loss! It all adds up! Patter- those points look great for those meals! Yay! I've been entering some of mine as well and I'm amazed at some of the points for meals that aren't too bad on calories, but because of the sugar content (honey in the recipe for example) and/or the fat, it becomes a higher point dish. I'm going to have to rethink some of my staples! AN--that recipe looks good. I'm going to have to try it soon. iamkristinl16--it happens-we all have not so great weekends. Cheat weekends can be helpful to having us feel satisfied. Life isn't a diet..there has to be some enjoyment as well. TankTop-in your circumstances I would have made the same choices--blech! @mochimochi--sounds like a good week! Never question a good week! ExpatBackHome--sounds like a fun weekend. Great attitude about getting right back on track. littlefish--I'm impressed you can eat only a couple of cookies! I would have inhaled them! LOL! Hope your hip is feeling better soon and you can get back to your regular exercise routine!
