We will be spending a weekend in or near Jacksonville before heading to Orlando. We'd like to be within an hour of Jacksonville, but I was trying to put us on the water.
Any suggestions on hotels in that area? We need two rooms, one for the inlaws and one for my family.

Have you been to the beaches in Jacksonville before? They are not white sandy beaches like you find on the gulf coast. So, I wanted to make sure you were aware. I've lived here for 4 years but we prefer the beaches a little south of here - St. Augustine to Daytona area. But, I grew up on the gulf, so those are the beaches I prefer.
