My hair is frizzy/dry and I get a Keratin treatment once a year. Thanks!

My daughter and I both love the NuMe flat irons. We live in Houston where it is very humid, and they keep the curls and frizz away.
A bonus is that there are often Groupon/Living Social deals for them

I will check them out, and humidity is not my friend!

I've had my Chi since 2008 it's still working just like it did from day 1. If this ever breaks I may try a babyliss (sp?) because I've heard very good things about that also.

I bought a Sedu 1" from folica.com at Christmas and am loving it. It gets super hot and gets my hair super straight. I believe it is their number one selling flat iron. It's normally around $140, but I got it for $65 on Cyber Monday. Folica is always running specials, so I definitely wouldn't pay full price for it.

I have literally tried every brand under the sun: Chi, Solano, GaMa, Diana the Hunter, Conair, etc... and all roads lead back to Babyliss I use a 1" because I do not have a ton of hair & it is not really thick, but of course it is available in other sizes. Good luck!

Hands down a GHD. I've had many and this is awesome. Heats up in about 10 seconds.

Good luck! This!!! Although, my iron looks longer (maybe?). I love it mine, and the only other brand I would consider at this point would be TymeIron.

Babyliss! It's much better than the Chi I used to have. I need to buy another one because DD took mine when she moved out. I still a 240v one that I use when traveling, but it does me no good here in the US!

I really love my knock of chi from Sallys, the pink one. Have had it for a few years and works great!
I also have a nume flat iron and got a great deal on it. Works just as well as my Sallys one. I have curly hair and it usually takes about 10-15 min straightening it.

I was looking on Amazon, and some of the reviews for the Babybliss make you wonder if they are fake. How do you know if you are getting the real thing?

Babyliss. Also, I recently started using a comb in one hand and the straightener in the other...makes a HUGE difference. I wish I'd been doing it all along.

I tried 2 different Babyliss and hated both of them, felt like it pulled my hair. I went back to chi, always works fine.

Love my Chi! I can straighten my wavy, bra-strap-length hair in under 6 minutes. For a special occasion, I take extra care and it takes maybe 10-12 minutes.
My first iron was a Remington Wet 2 Straight, and I didn't love it that much - it didn't have that butter-like glide that the Chi has.
