You know how on Facebook the newsfeed will show things that your Facebook friends have pinned on Pinterest? (Mine does at least). Is there a setting that I can adjust so people don't see what I'm pinning on Pinterest on Facebook? I'm laid up after surgery and was rearranging one of my boards, it involved a lot of pins. I got a snarky comment from someone about how much time I was "wasting" on Pinterest, and would love for Facebook to not show my Pinterest activity. Is that possible?

Yes, it is possible. My pinterst activity doesn't show up on facebook. Let me go look to see where I hid it.

Mine doesn't show either. I remember making it that way when I first linked it to FB.

GO to facebook. Privacy settings (the lock icon on the top tool bar). Apps (applications) in the left sidebar menu. Find pintrest in the apps you use. Set it to "only me" as the viewer.

And then go in and block that Nosey Nellie. Put 'em on a Restricted List.

Thank you! Now if I want to create a cookies board and move all of my cookie pins from my desserts board to my new cookie board I can! (And did!) people are far too nosy.

Thanks for teaching me about this! You are welcome. It is also a great way to make sure any games you play aren't giving away how much time you spend online

I don't see friends Pinterest pins in my feed but how do I know if they see mine?
Is there a way that everything you "like" doesn't show up in your friends feed? IDK if things show up randomly or what. I don't think everything my friends "like" show up on my feed but some do. Is there a way to control this? TIA

My Pinterest is not connected to my Facebook. You can turn that off in your Pinterest profile.

IDK if things show up randomly or what. I don't think everything my friends "like" show up on my feed but some do. Is there a way to control this? TIA Go to the little padlock icon on the tool bar (upper right on the blue facebook band) Click it, click "who can see my stuff". The third option on the drop down menu is "What do other people see on my timeline? View As" Click the "view as" and it will take you to what your facebook feed looks like to the open public. A black band will appear where you can change the view from the public to specific people in your friend's list. As for what you like...... some of that shows up in your friends newsfeed. The owners of those pages control that. If the original page is set for "friends of friends" to be able to view I don't think there is a way for your to stop that from showing up other than to not like things.
