I scrapped some of 2010 and 2011 doing digi scrapping. I could *never* get the hang of it. Figuring the drop shadows and layering was confusing. There wasn't anything to clean up, but I spent just as much time on them as a regular page. Because I sucked at the basics, my pages didn't look very dimensional. Especially when I would try to use "metal" elements. I tried to find quick pages that were finished and you just add photos. Too many times, the photo slot was quite small and that is what I wanted to show the most.
When it was really big, other digi scrappers were insistent if a page is posted to credit every element and paper to the designer. Another thing I sucked at was organizing all that stuff in an easy to find way. So, I rarely would post pages.
I'm thinking of buying stuff from Becky Higgins digital projects and using the template pages. I'll add photos, journal cards, and not worry about the actual designing of the pages! I also want to buy from Echo Park.

I haven't in a while but I alternate between paper and digi projects as the mood strikes. Have you checked out the digital press for supplies? They have a penny saver sale on this month so heaps of new products are released this month for $1.

My favourite digi shops have been The Lilypad, Sweet Shoppe Designs, The Digital Press, and Becky's Digital Project Life shop.

A couple of my friends, former scrapbookers, only do "photo books" now -- no digital products, just dropping photos into templates on a photo site, adding some (very few) words and paying for it. But I don't know anyone who "digital scrapbooks" ... and it didn't do anything for me. I like messing with paper

I've dabbled a bit, but I prefer playing with paper and physical supplies. I have done a few hybrid type layouts with printing things out and then making physical pages.

I haven't purchased in a while because I'm trying to use up my stash. LOL! Most of my purchases were from Snap, Click, Supply Co (Jessica Sprague affiliated).

Tried it awhile back but didn't like it. Too tempted to go back and change something or tweak it. I prefer to get my hands dirty so to speak. I like my bumpy lumpy layouts.

I am trying a hybrid style this year. I am mainly using PL templates, going to print them out, and then add actual embellishments like stickers, alphabets, etc. Also going to do some hand-written journaling on them.

I buy printables and embellishments from The Lily Pad to use as hybrid. TheDailyDigi.com has a monthly "kit" that has 7 different collections in it. For $7.50 it sounds like a great deal compared to what paper scrapping kits go for!

I do both digi and paper scrapping and these days my pages are a combination of both. My absolute favorite digital shop is Designer Digitals because with my Cameo I can easily change a digital element into a paper one.

I've done digital for special projects. I am working on a family cookbook as a gift to family members so it is easier to make one and order as many as I need. I have used Sweet Shoppe, Forever and some content I've purchased on Etsy. I still have paper supplies because I like the feel of accomplishment when I am done with a paper page.

Used Creative Memories Storybook Plus (now Panstoria), and when I first got started, made recipes cards and had them printed on standard 4x6 prints. Great way to learn the software (which I found easy). Bought Panstoria since I used to be a heavy user. I love it although I'm so busy I don't get to play around with it too much. My sister has 5 kids, and she usually makes 1-2 digital albums a year. I guess it depends on your tolerance and style.

I am so glad to see this thread. I was going to start a thread about this tonight. I am getting back into digi scrapping. I am about ready to start purchasing my updated programs. I was going to ask tonight for new trendy resources. I work in my digital programs all the time. I am so behind on what is going on trendy in the digital scrapbooking world. Thanks everyone who shared and please keep sharing. I make most of my own kits. I am wanting to buy some new kits. I have come across a few on Pinterest boards that have elements we can mix with our die cutters. I am so happy digi scrapping has gone hybrid now. Seven years ago I was getting the evil eye for going hybrid on my digital groups I belonged too. Software programs I am using are- PaintShop Pro. I am about ready to upgrade to X8. I am on X2. I think I need to upgrade, lol. I use Gimp & PhotoFiltre Studio. I am thinking of purchasing Serif Craft Artist.

I do both. My favorite digi sites are the Digital Press, the Lilypad, & Jessica Sprague.

I switched from tradional to digital over a year ago.
I like SnapClickSupply and DesignerDigitals the best.
I actually do not like my pages to look 3d, even when I traditional scrapped I liked flatter pages. I will post occassionally on Pixel Scrapper, but I don't worry about who made what. When I purchase supplies, I organize by theme, and rename everything anyways.
I guess I'm one of the few who actually likes the way the digital pages look more than the traditional. For one, I always hated how bulky and heavy traditional ones are (especially to store). I'm in the process of converting all my old traditional pages to digital, about 2/3 of the way done. I'm happy to have a backup, and to be able to order an extra set easily. Plus the printed books are SO much thinner!
For programs, I use Photoshop, but I used the regular version at my job, so Photohop elements was really easy for me to pick up.
