OMG OMG OMG OMG! That dress! Jamie all dressed up. The outfits are going to be so amazing! And yes the books are wonderful I have been reading them non stop since I discovered Outlander last spring. Her writing is amazing and flows from one book to the next. The only part that I had a hard time with was during the gathering, it was like trying to run thru mud. For those that watched the preview who was Claire talking to that knew of her travels? He looked like a young Dougal.
I am not going to last til April.

Diana Gabaldon posted on Facebook that the producers asked if Muraugh knew and she confirmed he knew about the time travel so they ran with that idea. Love Murtaugh-not in the I love Jamie way-but I do like his character! ETA: Here's her statement- Diana Gabaldon They asked me whether Murtagh knew. I said he did, but it wasn't mentioned in the books, having taken place off-stage. So...they ran with it. <g>

I think it makes for a smoother and richer flow from book to screen. After all she has created the outlander world, and while there are a few things here and there I might change, it is a multilayered world full of symbolism, history, a study in human nature, etc.

I finally got my sister to read them last summer and she read them ALL in just a couple months. She couldn't put them down.
