I ran to the grocery store to pick up a few items and as I was backing out of the parking space I noticed two men trying to steal a woman's purse. A man pulled up in a pick-up and was trying to help her and she kind of ran away a little but then came back and pepper sprayed the 2 men. I called 911 and said I was fairly certain someone would have called them and the woman said yes, they had a bunch of calls. BUT it seems they were trying to detain HER for some reason. SHE was the guilty party! My heart rate is finally back to normal.

Good grief. You never know anymore about things but at least you called 911 and didn't just assume someone else would.

Good for you for calling. So, she was the victim or the perp? Scary stuff.

Good for you for calling. So, she was the victim or the perp? Scary stuff. From what the 911 operator said, she was the perp. They were trying to detain her for some reason. Maybe an outstanding warrant or shoplifting? Who knows. But it really startled me. Before I knew they weren't trying to steal her purse I was thinking I shouldn't feel so safe all the time.

Especially recently with all the referendum signature gatherers. Another story for another thread.

yikes! Thats scary. Glad you made the call though - I'd rather be the person to report it (like you) than be the one who just said nothing.

I'm gad you called 911. If she was the perp, you've got to wonder what she had in the purse that they were trying to get back. If you ever find out, please let us know.

Good for you calling the police! And I hope they were able to catch the woman and find out what was going on.
