My incision is healed up fairly nicely and there doesn't appear to be any broken skin. I have some flakies around the site but the main issue is that the new skin, which is all pink and shiny, feels tight and sometimes itchy. What would be good and safe to put on it? I have regular lotion (vanicream) and also coconut oil. I also have bio oil but feel like maybe the new skin might be too raw for it still. Any ideas?
eta: it's on the palm of my hand.

I would go with the coconut oil.

Vit E oil. You can break open the capsules that you would use as a diet supplement.

My son's surgeon is a fan of coconut oil, alternating with a solution of tea tree oil. I will say his incisions heal up beautifully. The only downside is that pets get obsessed with licking coconut oil.

my dh goes to one of the top surgery practices in the country on microvascular surgeries, breast reconstruction, etc. aquafor is what they recommend on his grafted skin and around incisions. it really helped his skin on his reconstructed leg. (had a muscle and vein transplant)..

Coconut oil is a remarkably healing oil for skin conditions of all kinds, as well as being anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. our cat loves to lick me arms and legs after I apply coconut oil |

I think I just used the Aveeno hand cream we already had around for that. My surgeon also recommended massaging the incision areas (I had both hands done) to keep scar tissue from forming inside, so I did that at the same time I was putting cream on. I have noticed that even now 5+ years later that skin gets really dry and sometimes scaly still.
