I was at M's yesterday for the first time in a long time, and was going to check out the glue area, which was not in the normal spot, then in my wandering I never encountered where ever it was moved to, so I forgot to buy glue...
So it used to be at the back-middle of the store near the cake decorating and where they sell baskets.
I think it would be kind of odd for a craft store not to sell glue and adhesive, so did that area move in your store and where is it? I suppose I could ask a store employee, if by some rare occurrence I run into one while I'm shopping.
Maybe the craft world really is changing if no one needs to stick things down.
Just another random thought, not a debate on M's or the craft industry.

I saw a small section of adhesives at my Ms on Saturday. It was between the DIY Wedding/Food Decorating and the scrap section.
At the old Ms I used to go to it was over by the felt/craft foam section.

My M's recently rearranged their store and moved a whole lot of stuff to new areas, including the scrapbook adhesives. I actually did have to ask an employee where they were. They were in the SB section still, but in a more out-of-the-way place, not an easily visible area like they used to be. Maybe your M's did something similar. I think they want to use the more visible areas for higher-margin items (aka higher-priced!), not for staples that crafters are always going to buy anyway, like adhesives.

In my local store, they are on the left wall at the front of the store, which is now where the scrap stuff (what's left of it) is located. Seems like the scrap section is in between the cake decorating and party supplies. Adhesives were on the far wall facing you if you were walking down an aisle.

I have had trouble finding my adhesive refills at Michaels's lately. They still have a spot for them, but it's been empty.

My M's has the glue with the wall stencil/paint area. It does take a bit to find it.

At my Michaels it is in one of the rows near the back, near the acrylic paint and wood aisles. However there still is a section in the SB section of the store. Mostly adhesive runners and glue sticks.

the only liquid glues I use are Fabri-tac and Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive. the fabri-tac is still easy to find at michaels and joanns. I buy the Scotch in bulk so it's cheaper to buy it online.

Just another reason I buy all my adhesive on Amazon. Every time I go to M's or J's to buy it, they are out of what I want.
