Yeah Hamilton is not my thing. And was Gwen Stefani supposed to fall? ? Well it wasn't live so I'd guess yes If it was supposed to be live, being on roller skates was really risky!

Who's the lead in Hamilton? Everyone cheered when he came out, but I've never seen him. Tonight, and usually the writer Lin-Manuel Miranda is Hamilton

What did I just hear? Adele...that was a sour note. I'm kind of shocked. There were some sound issues and I think she couldn't hear herself.

My daughter said the target /Gwen thing was live from a remote studio, but obviously she was lip syncing, and after she fell she was suddenly in another scene, so at least part of it was filmed. I bet my daughter has no idea what she's talking about lol. That wasn't her skating backwards and falling. Also what I was thinking. She looks so fabulous, though, that I'd forgive her. I love the MM hair and moves.

Live art? she sang the same line over and over, and the video was long and boring, and fake.
Poor Adele. She seemed like she was screaming, and got off tune. I'm pretty sure Adele doesn't get a "sound man" at the grammys.

Oh now I want to see the Gwen video again so I can try to see when she snuck out and someone filled in for her skating backwards. I bet the fall wasn't planned. Cute video though!

I haven't watched the Grammys in years. Do they ever get to giving out awards?
Sheesh.
Love it any time I get to see a Broadway production. The idea of Broadway is wonderful but so far out of reach for most. I think the powers that be are missing out big time by not bringing these things "to the masses" with either live stream or filmed performances made available in theaters in the same way the Met Opera does. I'd gladly pay $100 to see Hamilton or Finding Neverland or Somerthinf Rotten or The King and I in my local theater. I can't afford $500 for one ticket, plus travel and lodging. Well I could, but it would be no fun to go alone.
Back to the Grammys.

I'm pretty sure Adele doesn't get a "sound man" at the grammys. I don't think she has her own "sound man" there but there sure as hell is a sound engineer (probably multiple) running the sound for the performance and broadcast and they did not do their job well during her song.

I do feel bad for Adele. I wanted to cry for her, because she's amazing but she sounded off tonight. We also thought maybe she couldn't hear herself.

That was the worst Adele performance. I am sure it was a sound problem. She was yelling. I want a redo.

I had front row mezzanine seats (best seats in the house at that theater) to An American in Paris last summer, and I only paid $150ish per ticket. Still a lot, but doable.

Biebs out-performs Adele. #boom And here's the beauty/mystery of music - that people can have such differing opinions of the same piece. I loved Hamilton but Bieber made me want to chiffonade my eardrums.

I loved Hamilton but Bieber made me want to chiffonade my eardrums. I didn't say I love Bieber, but he did outperform Adele. I'm neutral on the Biebs. I find him hard to hate, to be honest, but I'm not particularly a fan. But you're right, I'd rather sit through 8 hours of him before any Broadway show. I don't know why I hate it so much but I've always felt that way. If there's not a movie version, I'm not interested. I guess I hate the overdone stagey exaggerated voices, moves, etc.

I did a quick search for Hamilton tickets for March (which are only available resale, at this point), and rear mezzanine is going for just about $500 a seat.
