Just reflecting on my albums...and how nobody but me really knows what is where. 12 LOM albums, 10 school albums, 24 other albums in my living room, not counting digi books. If my kids want to look how do they know where to start. What do you guys do?

No index for me...,but mine are probably a little more self explanatory....baby book, school days and then family albums by year. Vacation albums are labeled with date/location as well.

I was thinking of maybe creating and framing a guide?

No guide really, just some tags hanging on the outside of the albums with dates of when to when or what the album is. I have them on a shelf in my craft room. Easy to grab the album I'm looking for.

No guide here either, but my albums are by theme: dd, ds, us, extended, hubs&me, and then all chronological (labeled). Easy enough to navigate.

No guide. Travel ones I have marked with destination and date, and PL albums just have the date. There are some more recent ones that are a mix of layouts at the moment, but I'll probably sort and label later. For albums which don't have bookplates, I tied on a ribbon and stamped the details on a round tag, then tied that on.

I don't have a guide, but sometimes I think I should.
Most of my albums are labelled on the spine. Some aren't labelled at all.

Mine are all labeled on the spine.
I do keep a spiral notebook of photos left to scrapbook. I cross them off as I go.
