For those who don't know, this is a spin-off of Breaking Bad about the sleezy lawyer Saul Goodman. It is a prequel and last season was fantastic.

I've been watching the marathon of season one most of the day. DS is a huge fan of this show and has successfully gotten me hooked. (He did the same with Breaking Bad.)

I thought we had it set up to tape the first season today. DH really likes this show. I was going to try to start watching. I can catch season 1 on Netflix.
I haven't seen more than a handful of Breaking Bad episodes. Is this show going to be lacking since I didn't? I know it is set earlier than Breaking Bad, but wondered.

Will have to watch tomorrow, but I finished a rewatched of season one last weak. BB is my all-time favorite TV show, and I love the character of Saul and Bob Odenkirk, but it still took me about five episodes of Better Call Saul to get hooked. Really looking forward to the new season now .

Free Charlie, you don't need to have seen BB at all in order to watch BCS.

So glad to see this thread. I had forgotten it started tonight. DH and I are now happily watching. Loved last season.

Thanks for the heads up, thankfully my trusty DVR is all set to record.
It is fun to see characters from BB, but has no impact on being able to follow BCS.

We watched tonight. Big fans of BB and Better call Saul. Love the cross over of characters from BB like the stock trader guy tonight!

Glad Saul is back. The after show, Talking Saul was very good and gave great insight. Enjoyed that as much as the show. Makes me want to watch season one again.

I have such mixed feelings about this show. It's well-written and acted but watching it makes me so sad. I find it really depressing.
