Good morning ladies!! I hope everyone is doing well! I've been reading the threads at the end of each day but just haven't had the time to respond the way I want to. Next week being vacation, I'm hoping I'll be able to be more active. 2 days in a row the scale has gone up. I HAVE to attribute it to lack of water...I've fallen completely off the water drinking wagon. I'd been maintaining at least 60-80oz a day but this past week has been awful and yesterday was the worst with only 24 oz of water and 24 oz of coffee. Not nearly enough. So I really need to refocus on getting the water in. I'm SO sore this morning. I was putting pj pants on last night and got tangled up and fell. I was less than an inch from hitting my head on the corner of a cabinet so I'm thankful that I just fell and didn't crack open my skull. But I fell on my left arm and hip...my hip doesn't feel too bad this morning but my arm hurts like a mofo. It's the side I typically sleep on and every time I rolled over onto it last night it would wake me up. So despite going to bed at 10, I didn't sleep that well. I'm going to grocery shop today instead of tomorrow. So my workout will be pushed until later...if I do it. I'm not feeling it AT ALL today. But since the scale was up, I'll probably try to do something. I hope you all have a wonderful day! You can do this ladies!! Don't give up! PS. I saw this this morning and thought of our little group here.

Oh gracious, Brandy. So glad you didn't hit your head! Hopefully you won't be too sore today. I fell in the tub last week at the hotel. They did not have any anti-slip stuff in the tub. My bum still hurts but I was thankful I didn't hit my head too!
I did great with eating yesterday. Made my spicy meatloaf last night so I can have some great leftovers for lunch. I am really loving the WW app. It really keeps me on track!

I'm feeling a little better today than I did yesterday. Went to my group workout last night (although I really didn't want to) and it went OK - better than I had anticipated.
Tonight I swim and have a 3 mile run to do.

Last weekend was crazy with a relative dying and being away from home and routine so I gained back a bit. But this week I got back on track and refocused and I lost almost all of it as of this morning. Which is good because tomorrow is my birthday and DH is taking me out for dinner and drinks!! Alcohol always makes me puffy and retain water for a couple days so I know Monday coming up will be bad but I don't care!!
I had to do a T25 workout last night since we had lots of activities after work. Tonight is more of the same and my back has been tight so I may do a PiYo workout to help stretch.
Breakfast- scrambled eggs with veggies lunch- I actually brought a frozen Amy's organic spinach enchilada meal. They are 400 calories and this one isn't half bad. snack- cutie dinner- shrimp salad I think. Dh and the kids will probably eat it in sandwich form while I use it to top a pile of spring greens. Some other veggie and maybe some homemade fried potatoes. The girls like those with sandwiches.
I hope you fell better soon Brandy! That sounds like something my clumsy self would do!!

I have been reading the threads, but haven't jumped in as of yet. I'm just getting on the bandwagon... One step at a time. I work full time and go to school full time, so I'm just doing the best I can to try to make some positive changes and get rid of 10-15lbs.
I joined a new fitness studio last week and did my first "Barre Lean" class last Thursday. My behind and legs were so sore the next day I could hardly move. I took another class last Saturday though, and have taken three so far this week (varying types). It's a really great place, the classes are small, and the instructors are awesome. I'm loving it!
My scale says I'm down a pound from last week, but I'm not tracking daily. I'm also not strictly tracking my food, however I am making healthier choices and TRYING to drink more water. I really hate having to pee all the time, so I stop. I have to work on that!
Brandy, I am SO glad that you didn't hit your head when you fell. A co-worker of mine fell a couple of weeks ago, hitting his head on a brick hearth in his living room and suffered some very serious damage.

Sounds like you have a busy schedule but good for you for working in exercise! As far as the water - I TOTALLY understand. It was part of the reason I just didn't want to drink much. I will say after a week or 2 of really upping the water intake, the need to pee every 20-30 mins spaced out and was more like every couple of hours.

Thanks ladies! Getting up and moving around seemed to help the soreness a bit. I'm going to get a work out in after I get the kids from school.
And can I just say that MFP LIES when it gives you what you would weight in 5 weeks. LOL It keeps telling me if I keep eating the way I am, I'll be down something like 15 lbs in 5 weeks. And uh, that just isn't happening. LOL

Just weighed in at WW and I'm down another 3.2 pounds. So, that is good news.
Otherwise, I'm not feeling great but don't know if it's because my kids are sick and I'm catching what they have or if it's because it's almost that time of the month... Or both, most likely. But, I think today will be a lie-in-bed-and-read kind of day.

Today has not been the best day. I was limited ok time time morning so only did the BBM upper body workout and no treadmill. Had to drive a few hours and then come back and was supposed to drive a few more hours in the other direction. The first appt went longer than I anticipated and the drive was slower, and I also got pulled over. Luckily only got a warning but slowed things down even more. Just got back to town and the other appt had to cancel since I was running late. So the good news Is I can go home and get some stuff done (hopefully some exercise as well as paperwork for work). I have also had indigestion and heartburn since last night. That is rare for me but it is driving me crazy. I also have been snacking while Driving which hasn't been good.

Sorry you are hurting, Brandy. Hope you heal up quick!
Well, I'm having issues being up this week, but, I'm not sure why. Unfortunately, I have only gotten one yoga class in this week. Not sure I'll go tonight because I'm starting to feel a little funky, but, if I don't go tonight, I might feel worse tomorrow. UGH Not a good week for me, for some reason. Oh well. Onward and downward!

I'm on a roll ladies! Three days in a row I've done some exercise! Waaaahooooo! It's not much, but for me, this is as close to a miracle as I'll get! The food situation has gone pretty well. I made my version of a Chipotle bowl for dinner. I had some leftover chicken I tossed in the freezer and figured I should use it up before it got freezer burnt! It's pretty good over some rice. No cheese--my dd was disappointed. She wanted cheese but was too lazy to grate some herself. Ha!

Hey everyone! Had my late work day yesterday and went to CrossFit today. Scaled the rope climbs for my wrecked hands from doing so many pull-ups on Tuesday. I just had soup for dinner and DD just finished reading the first Harry Potter book so we're watching the first movie over popcorn. I think I'll avoid the scale until the weekend to get all the salt out of my system! Welcome Woobster! brandy327, I'm glad you're ok!

I know I sound like a broken record, but I really think you would like the free Bikini Body Mommy series on you tube. Short, data driven, workouts. I love that you track your own data and see your improvements each day. Perfect for this teacher brain.

I've been meaning to ask for the link...I don't know where to find it... I've looked on youtube, but I just end up with clips or the middle section of exercises for the program (Like, I get day 15, but can't find days 1-14 kind of thing). Would you mind linking a girl up? It sounds like it would be something I'd enjoy, but I'm also a little scared!!!

I don't write down the exercises, just the reps. I have mine in a half size binder I got from Target.

The 6 week is my favorite. linkYou are in good enough shape. You set your pace. You are only out to beat yourself each time you repeat a workout. Plus, I often pause the video during the rest periods. Lol! Not her intent, but I still have had life altering results.

Last night I searched for some lei tables that would work but didn't find anything. I wrote down what I would want on a page and will either print something or just fill each page in a small notebook. For the 6 week challenge I was thinking of having a column for workout one and two and then a spot to write how much weight, reps, and each exercise. I would include a spot for number of calories per day, water and notes on how I felt, etc. I still use mfp most days so don't need to log all food there.

It sounds like it would be something I'd enjoy, but I'm also a little scared!!! You can do it! I am on week two of the 6 week challenge. The workouts are really simple (although not always easy) and doable. They get harder each week and I would suggest having a variety of weights to use so you can vary the intensity based on how you feel. Im hoping that she has a 5.0 90 day challenge started soon after i finish the 6 week. She just had a baby last week so I am not sure how long she will wait but it seems like she wants to get back at it soon. If not, I will do one of the other 90 day work outs. You can watch the videos anywhere you can watch YouTube. I watch on the tv through the PlayStation.
