Thanks for posting this, I really needed to see this today. Me, the one who is always filled with hope and dwells in possibility, is running out of hope. Hugs and prayers to all who are in need of them. I sure am. I pray over you & everyone on this thread that their anxiety and worries are replaced by calm and relief that things have turned out well. I love reading those scriptures. Mary K Thank you so very much Mary K.

Thank you for this. This week I'm thinking of this illustration given by Francis Chan. He has a super long rope and at the end is a little piece of red tape. Our life on earth is within the piece of tape, the rest of the rope is the rest of eternity. His purpose is about having an eternal perspective - what are you living for? But for where I am right now it is a good way for me to remember this verse - "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;" 2 Corinthians 4:17 Even if my trouble were to last the rest of my lifetime, compared to eternity it is a blip in time. Even if it is unbearable, it will be worth it in comparison to the glory it will work in my life - whether I see it on this side of the grave or not. IOW the prize will be worth the cost.
