Honestly, if I don't get off my lazy ass and go to the grocery store there will be no dinner. I am out of every thing. Literally. As in I don't even have any of my precious peanut butter for peanut butter toast. And, because I have put it off, I am so hungry that if I am not careful I will return from Publix with a cart full of Little Debbie Swiss rolls, chocolate chips and one of those frozen French Silk Pies that Marie Callender's makes.

I feel a little guilty. It's just Costco carnitas. Your Costco does carnitas??? Well, mine does fries so I guess we're even Well, they aren't made by Costco, it's some other brand but we call them Costco carnitas since we buy them there so often. ETA in the refrigerated packaged meat section. Maybe they're not such a popular thing in Canada, though?

Breakfast quesadillas (eggs, bacon, cheese and green chilies) and fruit smoothies.

Probably something quick and easy. Either chili spaghetti, cheese coneys or frozen pizza. DH is out of town, so the girls don't really care for a big meal.

I don't even want to think about dinner tonight so I'll make something easy that I could make in my sleep if I had to... maybe baked spaghetti & a green salad. That always goes over well.

I was uninspired, so went to Pinterest and found this Chicken & Potato Casserole (will be doing a little substituting of ingredients) and will add roast beets, fennel, carrots and onion to go with it. The Birdhouse Lady I always smile when you have moose. My first time having moose was for a Thanksgiving dinner many years ago and all I remember is that it was dense & meaty . The second time was when our neighbor was deployed leaving his wife at home with an infant & toddler. DH cut her lawn everytime he cut ours and didn't want any payment until he found out about the moose roasts in her freezer. cakediva mince was a regular meal for me growing up with a Scottish mother. My family loves it.

Update: I went to Publix. I put on my big girl will power panties and skipped the crap (okay, part of it) and left the Little Debbies on the shelf. I did manage to spend more than my budget which stinks-my fault for going to the store hungry. But there is now food, although for all that is holy, I forgot to buy peanut butter. I do NOT know how that happened. I also forgot to get the boy oatmeal, so maybe I just blocked out breakfast food altogether?? Now, as to what we are having tonight, I think a pretty heavy carb/protein dinner since the boy played tennis today-both singles and doubles so my guess is he is going to need it. I haven't decided what that will be yet. Possibly beans and rice, or pasta of some sort.

We are having turkey Italian sausages with some sort of sauce and some sort of pasta... I have not decided on that quite yet. We will also have a Cesar salad and bread. I have some apples that nobody seems interested in so I thought I could cook or bake them in some way???

I'm going to make my own version of a quesarito. (tortilla, shredded beef, brown rice, mozarella, guacamole, sour cream and taco sauce)

We're having salads from a dive restaurant in the city. I had an appointment in town today, so stopped to get chicken salad, kale salad, and pasta salad.

Thankfully I put a roast in the crock pot this morning. Today has been so busy! Both my boys have practice today and I had physical therapy, so we are all running.

Per DH's request, we're having baked ham, macaroni and cheese (made with Velveeta), roasted or steamed carrots, green beans, and corn, Bisquick biscuits, strawberry jello, and the Valentine's dessert that is still hanging around. Untouched. I'm considering adding a vegetable casserole made with cream of soup. With chemically laden, processed products, I say, "Go big, or go home!". Loud and Proud, Trixie. Loud and Proud.

We had frozen chicken tenders (Tyson Panko breaded from Costco) and a bag of fries I found in the freezer. Buffalo sauce on the tenders. Over dinner we hashed out more grad party details. I also finally had dh take a look in my mouth and he confirmed that I have indeed chipped a tooth. So, I will be calling the dentist in the morning. It happened about a week ago, so obviously it isn't hurting too badly (unless I bite down on the spot.)

However, you should probably pick up a milkshake after the appointment, just in case.

I'll have one of everything you guys are having. It all sounds good, even the swiss rolls! I am out of commision tonight so everyone is on their own. I wish someone else would cook for the next month. Or at least make me a sandwich.
