I weigh in tomorrow for the 3rd week. I'm still a newbie. I'm down 7.5 pounds and terrified that I gained last week. -Use the CONNECT feature. It is the online chat area. Everyone is SUPER supportive. - plan and prepare ahead of times - measure for portion control - set small goals - go easy on yourself. These pounds didn't come on in a week. We won't lose in a week! My favorite quote..... My muffin top has now become a pound cake!!! This won't be us for long

I just started 4 weeks ago. Having a support system helps a lot. We have a group of about 30 people at work that all started together and we encourage each other and it helps so much.
My favorite snacks are fruit salads and jello sugar free puddings (2 points). I have found a brand of tortilla wraps called Ole High Fiber that are 1 point and make wraps with turkey or chicken deli meat and veggies. For a little extra flavor, sometimes I spread a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese on the tortilla.
For breakfast I like to saute onions and mushrooms and some rotel tomatoes and make an omelet with low fat cheese.
Fill up with fruits and veggies but don't forget to treat yourself to something yummy once in a while.
Good luck in your journey!

Welcome! I tend to have high point snacks but I also plan my entire day to allow for it. My favorite snack is a banana with 32g of Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter. It's 6 points but it's really yummy, filling, and the good fats in the peanut butter help your body absorb the great things from the banana. And here are some of my best tips to help you get through each day: *Use a food scale. I use it for every meal. Truly helps with portion size. *Track your meals for the day if you know what you are having so you can see what you have left and plan your day. I like planning a day instead of just a single meal because then I might go over. *Use those weekly points! I generally break it up evenly for the week using 5 extra a day. Some days I don't use it but it sure is nice to know I have 5 extra if I want it. *Make larger portions of your favorite meals so you can have leftovers for lunch. For instance, we had my Spicy Meatloaf the other night (4 points), and we have quite a bit left. I now have a 4 point lunch each day until it is gone. I serve with a 0 point veggie. *I personally never use my activity points. I just count that as a bonus towards being healthy. *I allow myself a cheat each week. I don't over indulge but I enjoy. For instance, tonight we are getting Olive Garden. I will have soup for dinner but Black Tie Mousse cake for dessert. It's my cheat, and always motivates me to keep going. I find I do best this way. If I can never have what I love, I fail. *I also have ice cream every.single.night! I am currently eating Breyers No Sugar Added Butter Pecan. 4 points and it's a reward each evening. I do weigh my serving because it's easy to go over. It's a small serving but just enough to say "yum." *Use that WW app! I scan things in the grocery store, and I find tracking SO easy with the app! I know what works for me. I just started back to WW. I did great for years and years and weighed my goal weight for about 3 but then my daughter got extremely ill last year, had 4 back surgeries, open heart surgery last week, and I just didn't take care of myself. Now I am back on track and already feeling better. Take each day at a time. You can do it!

Patter read my mind. The first things that come to my mind are track EVERYTHING, even if you go over, even if you go into the red. Accountability is key. Sometimes it's easy to think that if we don't track it, it didn't really happen . . . until we get on the scale and then get upset because we were "on program" all week. Also, like Patter said, pre-tracking really helps. I've been a Weight Watcher for 16 years, and just recently discovered how incredibly helpful this is. Now when I sit down to track my breakfast, I go ahead and plug in my dinner. Then I see what's left and fill in with lunch and snacks. Makes such a huge difference and takes away any anxiety for the day. I belong to a few different forums and follow various blogs and you tubers. I keep a piece of paper and pencil nearby so I can jot down grocery items to buy/try. Never do something to lose weight that you are not willing to do for the rest of your life. Once you lose the weight and stop those behaviors, the weight comes back so fast it will make your head spin. Don't ask me how I knowQ I've just now settled into a more realistic eating/exercise routine. Weight is coming off slower, but that's okay with me. I want it to STAY off. Some things I've discovered lately for snacks: melba toast with Laughing Cow light spreadable cheese (liking spicy Jack lately) reduced calorie toast with mashed avocado and salt on top eggs, eggs, eggs. Such a good deal. Stretch your points/serving by cutting back on yolks. I usually scramble one whole egg and one white with add ins. Yolk is yummy and has protein. Extra white stretches it. make sure you always have fruit in the house. Get in your car and drive to the store if you are out. You will always have something yummy that is zero points if you get desperate. The banana is God's gift to the Weight Watchers world. Google "bubble up casseroles". They use a small 7.5 oz can of Pillsbury biscuits and are so delicious and don't taste diety (usually 7-9 sp per serving). I've made Chicken Pot Pie, Taco Fiesta, Enchilada versions. Next up is Bacon Cheeseburger. I like comfort food sometimes and these fit the bill. I could go on and on. WW is a great plan that is easy to live by. I wish you great success!

I document everything I eat on my You Tube channel. Keeps me honest. You can see my videos here: My You Tube ChannelAlso, know that weight loss is NOT linear. You will have gains, not matter how perfect you eat, track and drink water all week. Do not let the gains get you down. I lost almost 40 pounds with WW in 2001 and have kept it off (except being pregnant), and I can tell you that the scale is unkind and your mind is even more cruel. Don't buy into the downer hype from the mental side of it. Just keep plugging along and the weight will come off.

My best tip is to preplan your meals for the day. I start with what will be my biggest meal. Typically that is supper with the family. So I'll figure out what I'm cooking and how many points that'll be then I work backwards to fill in breakfast and lunch. This way you'll never run out of points by suppertime.
Also, don't let the scale get you down. That sucker won't be your friend every week no matter how hard you are trying. Just remember you are trying to make a lifestyle change and you'll be rewarded in the end. Losing weight is hard, but being fat is hard too.
