I've been to SLC just once and I didn't have to make a connection. I can't really recall how spread out things were. Would that be enough time to make a connection, or would that be pushing it?

It's a small airport and easy to get around, but 30 minutes is pushing it anywhere. The only way I'd do 30 minutes is if my other option was 5+ hours. If you have to do a 30 minute connection, make sure you don't check a bag, your carry on will actually fit overhead on the plane you're taking and not have to be gate checked like on smaller planes, and you have a seat in the first 4 rows.

Hmm... we don't *have* to connect there, but it's that or 48 minutes in ATL, which I do NOT want to risk, or many hours elsewhere.

If your flight is on time I think it *might be enough time. The airport isn't too large in my opinion.

If your plane gets in on time, you'll have plenty of time. It's not a big airport. I'd pick that over ATL (and I live here).

I've only been to that airport 2 times I think. It is pretty small and if I can remember correctly, if you fly in on, say Delta, your Delta connection will be pretty close by. That's not always the case in Atl.
I think you'll be ok with that amount of time.
