I need to get my daughter a new medical alert bracelet. We have in the past used one that brandy327 recommended. But now she actually needs one that will allow for more lines as she has several things that need to be on the bracelet. She also wants something cute. Are we looking for the impossible? What is your favorite?

I really know nothing about medical I.d. bracelets, but wanted to put out there that my husband and son both wear a Road I.D. when they mountain bike. I've seen some with a striking amount of info on them. There are different styles, and are designed that you can change out the band for different colours.

The Lauren's Hope ones are pretty but I find them to not be very durable. I've gone through several, and they are not cheap! I like the paracord ones and you can find several places on Etsy that sell them. ETA: I SHOULD be wearing one, so I just took a gander on Etsy, and I really like this one Medic Alert Bracelet

Another vote for Road ID - my dad and I wear them for running and we have one of the Scout ones for our dog - love that it doesn't jangle off his collar and it's held up really well. We also got one for my 90yo grandfather when he was taking the access bus by himself to medical appts - made us feel better that he always had his name, bday and three of our phone numbers on his wrist. He had a cell phone and knew how to use it but couldn't always remember how to find our numbers in the cell phone. With the Road ID, he could just glance at his wrist and see the numbers. Or, if something happened, emergency responders would know his name and who to call.
So, big fan of Road ID over here. They now offer ones that fit on your FitBit and I will consider that when I replace mine. They aren't super cute but I don't mind the Slim and Elite styles. I wear my FitBit 24/7 anyway.

I wear one and have for almost 10years.. Personally I would not get one that is *decorative* it NEEDS to look like a Medic Alert bracelet, if its too frilly and pretty any EMTs may not look at it for information thinking its *just a bracelet*..
I also have mine on my left wrist since thats where they go to check for pulse, and I never wear another bracelet on that wrist either(or a watch for that matter but I hadn't worn one in years anyway)

We went with road id encaustic it allowed the most engraving. My daughter loves the easily exchange ability with the jelly bracelets. She swaps out to any colour or cause she wants to.

My mom wears the same one with a clear band. I wear this one, simply because I react to all metal that touches my skin. This doesn't allow it to touch me. I have a number of different colours to swap out with. I also have the attachment for my laces on my running shoes. Again Roadid

I use the James Avery one - you can engrave it. Here is the one I have HEREThey also have a silver and gold one that I like as well.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. We are really like the Road ID since it has 5 lines. That's what we mostly need; not cute. It also has a chevron band she likes. I think we are going to go with that one.

He also said frilly, and the "boho leather ones" often get over looked and that so many people now use Road ID that emergency personnel know to look for those. J

Looks like Road ID it is for sure. Thanks!

Patter , how is your daughter doing? Okay not great. Today we are having some issues so waiting on the doc to call back. She was released 7 days ago, and we have been to the doctor 3x plus will go again tomorrow. It is rather exhausting especially since we are still tired from the hospital. She has good moments and bad moments but I guess it's all to be expected. Thank you for asking!
