I like fireworks. But I don't like to go and see fireworks. Don't like to be in a crowd of drunks and crying children, I hate bugs and heat. Hate when neighbors set off their illegal ones while I am trying to sleep. I think winter fireworks would be awesome. They would look beautiful with the snow, ad since I have the windows closed in the winter, I wouldn't hear whatever shenanigans the neighbors got up to.

I love fireworks, both at home and professional shows. It is my favorite part of the state fair every year!

Professional shows? Yes. My favorite has always been those at 4th of July events where they play patriotic music in the background. Kinda cool.
Jackholes just setting them off in the neighborhood at all hours? Not so much.

Professional, yes. Otherwise, I'm afraid someone will get hurt. It drives me crazy that there are billboards in our state advertising them and we get mailers at our home advertising them and they are illegal in our state. They sell them the next state over.

I like the professional shows by our house. One place we have a nice, quiet place where we go to watch and we take the dog with us. She's not afraid of the fireworks at all. We don't really do any at home, though. Sparklers and those pop things. That's about it.

I'm not against them, but there is a safety issue with doing them at home. We used to live on Hayden Island at Portland OR and could see the Vancouver WA fireworks from our houseboat deck. DH and the guy from the next walkway over had a 'war' one year, lobbing stuff at each other. Next morning I discovered a 1/2 inch deep hole burned in one of our deck boards. My DD saw a picture of a blown up hand in a magazine as a child and has always hated them.

I just LOVE fireworks, they mesmerize me.
I don't have to worry about the dangers of personal fireworks because they are illegal to buy here. Mind you, some people still manage to get hold of them, I think you can still get them interstate.

I absolutely love the professional fireworks shows. The atmosphere, the big booms, the amazing colors and shapes, everything. They make me feel like a kid again. The fireworks that people buy and set off in the middle of the street? Annoying.

I love professional firework shows, not individuals setting fireworks off.

Not any more. I used to love the town ones over the bay, but now it's too much of a hassle and people are too rude.

Fireworks are illegal here, with the exception of New Year, and if it was up to me, they would be illegal, period! Every year someone gets injured or someone's home is burnt to the ground. Several years ago, our home nearly became part of that statistics, and after that I hate fireworks.

Here in the UK, fireworks are really associated with the 5th November - Guy Fawkes night - Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605. It led to a little poem ..... Remember, remember, the 5th November, gunpowder. treason and plot. Guy FawkesOur village run a great fireworks show, it's dark early, there is music and food and a big bonfire. It's good fun.

Not especially. I do love the fireworks at Disney, so anything else pales in comparison to me.
What I don't understand is we are in the middle of a drought, and the conditions are terribly dry, but yet they are still selling fireworks on almost every corner. Seems like a terrible idea to me.

I love fireworks shows. It's been a long time since I've attended one though. DH doesn't like crowds.

I love watching the professional shows, but I'm not a fan of the individual ones. Just about everything is legal here and people go a little nuts. I find debris in my yard every year ( except the year we had a drought-no fireworks that year)

I love the first two or three. After that I get bored and I am over it.

I'm a fan of ones put on by professionals... not ones put on by just the random Joe who's been to the fireworks stand. I can't stand those, I think they are too dangerous!
