Wow - I'm not a fan of stone really - and that place is overkill!
without all the stone stuff the house is pretty nice, but it would take forever and probably cost a fortune to get rid of the stone everywhere!

I see where the name came from. The outside is nice, but the inside.... wow! You may like this house. This was very close to my home growing up. We passed it whenever we went to the local park. Mushroom House |

Wow... at first I was like, oh this isn't too bad. I like the outside and the kitchen (well the first couple pictures). Then the living room, the bedroom, the master bath... I couldn't bear to see anymore.
Seeing how much stone work that went into the house, the living room looked unfinished.

I'd worry about those stones in the archway outside falling on my head. And the bathtub with stone on one side, how the hell do you clean that?

I must admit, my dislike for the house isn't simply the amount of stone, its the kind of stone they picked. That large gray on the walls - weird.
2 thoughts:
- Family must either sell stone or one of them is a mason as an occupation
- Why take a picture with your vacuum prominently displayed in the center of the photo. (ok, that's catty - but it stood out to me!)

It makes me want to sneeze just looking at the pictures. Can you imagine how dusty all that stone is? It has to be awful to clean.

Whew, imagine all the dusting! I hate my one limestone covered fireplace. Hate it! I can't imagine having that all over the dang house.
Think of all the goose eggs the kids would have when they get rowdy and fall!

The laundry room and water heater are nice. That is some weird shit...
At least the mushroom house is different. I don't know that I could sleep there without nightmares, but it's interesting.

I like the house. I do find the stone pattern in the living room to be a bit...um...interesting. You'd think the family would have done a little more picking up of the random stuff that's around the house before having pics taken.

(ok, that's catty - but it stood out to me!) The vacuum caught my eye, too. As well as the bucket of wet wipes and a camp stove on the patio. Loved the kitchen, without the stonework. The cost to rip all that stone out of there would be crazy. Too bad, it's a nice house. |

I don't mind stone when tastefully done, but that stone is all very ugly and looks DIY to me. So random.
I also, assume they own a quarry.
