What is your favorite trimmer/cutter? I have a Fiskers, but not crazy about it. Had the green Cuttlebee" I think but it started cutting real crooked. I have the small CM guillotine trimmer for small stuff - but still need 12x12.

I invested in the Stampin' Up trimmer based on another similar thread and I like it. I don't love it and it is a little bit bigger than my fiskars and I have to order the blades. I do lots of cutting so I go through blades just as fast as I did Fiskars.
My favorite trimmer of all time was my original fiskars and then the triple track. I really gave those a work out. Now I have the one with the wire and it works fine, but eventually the wire shreds.
I mean they are pretty much just plastic so they really do work well for what they are, especially with the cutting I do.
When I need a new one I will just buy the orange fiskars (or whatever color) but not the rotary because I like to place the blade where I want to.

Interested in this topic. I need a new trimmer. I need a portable one, one that folds as I have a small space and need to keep it on my desk as a 12x6. Right now, I still have my MM trimmer which has more than served its purpose but doesn't cut straight Anymore. I also have 2 Fiskars trimmers which serve a purpose but are not perfect either. I do crop my photos with my CM trimmer. I will be buying something in the next few months, but I also want to spend as close to $50 as possible. I am leaning towards the Cutterpillar Crop...

camanddanismom I just ordered a Cutterpillar Crop. Thanks to a Pea here I used a 40% off code. I paid $62 with shipping. I think it's a great deal so I went for it. That offer ends on Feb 29th if you are interested.

I have bought them all - Carl, Tonic, Stampin Up, Cutterpillar Pro and a lot of names I've forgotten. When I did my purge, I got rid of 11 trimmers. Why? They may start out cutting straight but quickly go over to the crooked side.
My trimmer of choice is the Fiskars ProCision. I bought it when it first came out and it still cuts straight to this day. And I use my trimmers hard. It also cuts as cleanly as it did day one.

I have a tonic guillotine, but the blade needs to be sharpened and I can't find anyone to so it. I also got a cutterpilar pro when they first came out. I like the light, but over time it stopped cutting straight and the cut edge is a little rough.
I recently bought a Fishers Procsicion that cuts chipboard and paper. I am in love. Bought it on walmart.com which made it about the same price as HL with a 40% coupon. I really, really, really like it.

nana2callie, which Fiskars paper trimmer do you have? I've had this one for a couple of years now and I really like it. I also have a Making Memories self sharpening paper trimmer but I rarely use it. I had two Cutterpedes in the past and they both cut crooked. I think they're made by EK Success now.

My all time favorite was the Making Memories one that is unfortunately no longer available. Since that one broke, I did get the fiskars procision one and really like it!! I find it cuts very straight and through pretty much everything.

My favorite is my cutterpillar, but for crops I take a fiskars, an older one, the blue one. Though last year I bought the Teresa Collins one, white and gold and like that one fine. REALLY do not like the fiskars with the wire.

I have tried other people's rotary trimmers and I just can't get them to work for me.
I have a plain old plastic X-Acto guillotine trimmer that is big enough for 12x12 that I like. I got it at Staples years ago. I would probably buy another one when the blade dulls if I can't find someone to sharpen it. It isn't good for taking to crops, though because it's kinda big.

I'm also a fan of the Fiskars ProCision Trimmer. I had the making memories one before that and always got so frustrated that the cuts were never straight. The Fiskars gives me straight cuts every time. My only qualm is that the 6" mark is right where the cutter folds in half so it can be difficult to get an accurate 6" cut.

Has anyone heard that Fiskars is updating their regular trimmers to include a bar rather than the wire? I thought I read about it but now I can't remember where.....

Fiskars Procision rotary bypass 12" cutter. It does fold in half. I chose this trimmer because you don't have to replace the blade. I did get a good deal on mine when Joann's offered a 60% off coupon.

I have a Fiskars SureCut Deluxe and it's been OK, but it's starting not to cut straight so I'm looking for something new. I'm interested in the Fiskars aluminum rail trimmer but will wait until I can buy it at Michaels or JoAnn with a coupon. (I believe that Hobby Lobby is the only brick & mortar store that carries it now.)

Surprise! My Crop was sitting outside of our back door this afternoon. While I was very happy to receive it, I wish there had been some notice. I have a feeling that they just do not send out shipping notices to anyone. Our plans for this afternoon had changed at the last minute so I was home to find it.
I have already cut a few pieces of paper and found that it cuts as easily and as well as the full size Cutterpillar. This is the cutter that I will take with me when in our camper and while staying with our grandchildren who love to make craft projects.

I have 2 favorite trimmers I use for different reasons. I love my SU! Trimmer because of the portability, design, ease of use, and how well it cuts. The base is 6" wide which is so nice for card makers. I also have the Fiskars Procision Trimmer which I love too. I use this mostly when I'm cutting supplies for my monthly card classes I teach.

I have an SU trimmer which I want to love but I cannot get it to cut a straight line. I've only used it a handful of times because of this. Someone suggested I lock it at the top to keep the cuts straight. It was working okay with this technique, but very cumbersome to constantly lock and unlock while slipping the paper in. Then it started cutting crooked even when locked. So now I just don't use it. I love SU products and I want to love this trimmer because it has all the features a portable trimmer needs. But the crookedness makes me so sad.

I have the Fiskars 6 inch one that the ruler folds out to 12 inches (it seems to have multiple names online). The ruler on my old one fell off so Fiskars sent a new one. Well after a year or two that one isn't cutting quite straight. I've never had a problem with the wire fraying (this is my 3rd) just everything else...
I'm about to get the old one out that the ruler falls off of, and if I have to cut anything longer than 6 inches I'll figure something else out...
I can't imagine contacting Fiskars and trying to send a photo that shows my trimmer cuts a 16 of an inch crooked so eventually I'll probably buy a new one. I do like Fiskars...

If so, I'd reach out to her/him and ask them about a replacement trimmer. If you don't get any response, reach out to me and I'll help you. :-)
