I no longer have an LSS close to where I live and am forced to shop online for items that you cannot get at the big box stores. For example, I was trying to buy as much as I could of the Crate Paper Hello Love collection. I could never find a site that has every or most of the embellishments in the collection. I'd have to order from multiple sites and pay so much in shipping it is crazy expensive. I am looking for Felicity at the moment and it is the same frustration. This may force me back to a kit club just to get my hands on part of a collection. Hip Kit has a lot of Felicity in their kits this month but I'd have to buy the main kit, embellishment add on and project life kit to get most of the collection.
I miss my LSS and Two Peas so much!! It just does not make sense to order from several sites..... Anyone else feel my pain? I am so jealous of all of you that still have an LSS!!

It really seems that if you like a like, you need to order it immediately as most on-line stores are not doing re-orders. If they sell through the line, then it is gone and they move on to the next new thing! I was slow on "Journey", then too late on Journey!

It is lovely to have a LSS, but she does not order in every line of every manufacturer. And I live out of town, so not always there when the new stuff comes in. When I see something I like on line, I e-mail her and ask if she is ordering that, and if so if she will put some away for me. She is always happy to do that for me.
If you are ordering from an online store, do they give you a preorder option? Can you talk them into giving that to you? Seems to me that would be a great deal for them because it reduces the amount of items they may have left over in inventory. At the Scrapping Nook before it closed, we could let her know what we wanted from each CHA release, and she would order it for us.
I noticed on the blog of a LSS in Edmonton in January that they were doing the same thing, at least for some lines.

I just ordered $40 worth of older Crate Paper tonight from Emma's Paperie. It's some I had just never picked up. They don't have all of it though but some. I got the newer things on scrapbook.com but I have to go there daily and make sure I'm not missing a release. That's pretty annoying.

I'm always so frustrated with my online shopping. Having to source from all the different sites makes it hard to be loyal to just one. I do have a couple that I always buy from first, but I feel your pain about only being able to get part of a collection if you want more or all of it.
Just trying to get albums and page protectors recently was way more of a headache than it should have been!!

I still have an LSS, but to be honest I rarely shop there. I try to, but she has really changed her focus to more card making and to brands that I have no interest in. Thankfully the LSS by my parents house had some of the Crate's Little you, which was number one on my list. I managed to snag most of the papers, the chipboard and the shapes. Now I just need to hunt for Fancy Free by pink paislee.

It's incredibly frustrating trying to source stuff, especially when you're an international because even the basic shipping is a killer. Lots of occasions when I have to wait on orders because things are not in stock and I just can't afford to make multiple small orders.
Unfortunately the range of things available here is either poor or not my style, so there isn't much alternative.

I totally wish all on-line stores would do pre-orders. I don't care if I have to wait 3 months for my order if I can get all of the pieces at one stinking time. When I found out on another thread here that the delay is that AC is moving their warehouse, I was 1) concerned they'd do this at new realease time and 2) better prepared to wait.

This is one of the reasons I stalk the daily deal sites - Scrapbook Steals, Peachy Cheap, and Crafty Steals for the most part. Their collections are usually comprehensive, you can often buy items separately, and sometimes they have brand new lines, especially on Scrapbook Steals, .
I agree it can be frustrating to find the things you want for particular lines. The most popular ones sell out so fast. I have found that ACOT seems to be the best option most of the time, but still I just placed a Scrapbook.com order for something they didn't have.
I have been waiting FOREVER for my CHA order, still missing Tim Holtz stencils, brushes and glazes. I guess it's better than stalking the site waiting for them to come in then missing it when they sell out.

Another frustrated person here. I've been trying to get Shimelle's new collection. I waited too long to start looking and now I'd have to order from about 3 different places to get all the pieces I want.

As long as you don't order 12 by 12 paper from ACOT, their shipping isn't that bad.

As long as you don't order 12 by 12 paper from ACOT, their shipping isn't that bad. I have ordered 12x12 paper from them and never had a problem. They use the USPS priority mail and I normally have my product in 3 days and it has always came in good condition. They used the heavy cardboard boxes USPS provides and it was wrapped in plastic bag with a cardboard sheet to retain the shape. Other items like ink etc were in individual plastic bags. However it sounds like you have had a problem with it. I am sorry to hear that.

If I order paper the shipping is around $16 (last time it came Fed Ex for some reason, this was a few weeks ago). I recently ordered some stamps and the shipping was $3.99 (and it's being shipped USPS). Maybe location has something to do with it (I'm in Washington). If it weren't for cherry hunting which covers part of the cost of the shipping I would have to find a new place to order from.

Wow $16.00 is a lot for S&H! I would be looking elsewhere also.

I can get way cheaper shipping elsewhere. ETA: Oh I see I posted way later than you. Well, I guess we agree!

I so miss having a LSS Now, if I want a collection, I buy it immediately. I like both ACOT and scrapbook.com. Luckily (?) I am trying to reduce my stash a little. I haven't caved to many temptations.
