I added the "free shape of the week yesterday" and didn't check my cart to see if it was empty and so when I checked out, some designs I had in there from a few weeks ago were purchased because my credit card is "on file". When I go to delete it from my account, it asks "are you sure you want to do this?" I click delete and nothing happens.
It was only $2.00 but annoying! Also I swear I had .11 cents left in my account but that mysteriously was not there yesterday (my account expired Feb 19th).
I will contact Silhouette, but there should be a way to delete a credit card without having to ask customer service.
I definitely makes me think twice about having another subscription there... and will check my cart before trying to order the free shape from now on.

Don't remember this for sure, but can you do it in the "my account" spot. I haven't changed mine in forever. There may not be a way. I would prefer mine be linked or to pay with a paypal.
ETA: Well, I just pulled it up and went to My Account. Clicked on manage CC. Tried to delete the card that is on there. Doesn't seem to want to let me do it.

If you don't have a subscription, it should allow you to delete your card. As for your $0.11 being gone, the money only rolls over to the next service month if you have an active subscription. When I let mine go, I lost like $4 do to this.

I suggest you call customer service and see if you can unlink your credit card that way. Or call your credit card and ask if you can stop any future purchases. It may make it so that you can't download the freebies anymore, but I don't know for certain.
Personally, I am a little surprised that you didn't notice. It's all spelled out. You see your balance under your name. You see the amount you have to pay to check out. It's all on the same screen, just in different places. It literally only takes two seconds to check. The terms of the subscription are also all spelled out. I know people often don't bother to read the terms, but it is all there. I know because I did read it. My dad drilled it into me to read everything before agreeing to anything (he was a lawyer). However, in the past, sometimes customer service has restored credits for people caught by surprise that they lost their credits. I don't know if they still do. I've seen enough posts like yours that it must be a fairly common problem.
I don't know if it will make you feel any better, but over the time of your subscription, you saved more than the $2 you got charged and the 11 cents that you lost when your sub ended. You still came out ahead in the long run, even if you had the cheapest subscription.

It was my dumb mistake. I think I saw the 0.00 credit and though that was the cost of my free shape. I'm not sure how I missed that there were shapes in my cart... Live and learn I guess. At least I will probably be able to use those shapes and they were on sale

And I almost did it again... went to download the free shape of the week and there was a shape in my cart (that I don't remember putting in there, I don't need an "I love you" die cut) but I caught it when it asked if I wanted to pay .99 cents... weird.
