To post a looking for helpers ad under job offered? I've done it in the past..now they are saying it costs $25??

In some metro areas they do charge $25 - for rural or suburban areas outside the area it is still free.
I believe this has happened in the last 1 or 2 years.
I don't know if it is for everything - but I know it is for job postings.

I was surprised a few weeks ago to see that, too. In a few larger cities itwas up to $35 to post a job. I have often wondered how craigslist makes money, since there aren't any ads, like so many other websites have.

Maybe it is to weed out some of the flakers that post dubious "jobs" that they have no intention of paying the people they hire? I know someone (who is kind of vulnerable) who keeps finding home based appointment setting jobs on there and she keeps getting stiffed after working for 2-3 weeks. I told her she would be much better off going to a temp service to look for a job.

I've always had to pay $25 when listing jobs on Craigslist. I thought everyone did.
