I am so wanting to buy the new Sizzix Big Shot Plus. That extra 9 inches really calls out to me. I just do not want to spend that kind of money on it. I have found it selling for $155 with free shipping.
It would be so much easier to emboss card fronts if I had a way to turn my folders sideways and run it through the Big Shot that way. A lot of my embossing folders are too big to run through sideways.
Any of you really glad you got the Big Shot Plus?

I am a huge Sizzix fan and started with the original red machine then moved onto the Big Shot which has been in regular use for years. As there was nothing wrong with I was reluctant to upgrade but finally gave it and recently bought the Big Shot Plus and I am thrilled with it.
I do notice the heavier weight when I pick it up to move around but that is the only down side... it does make it feel really sturdy though when in use which I love. The larger cutting area is fantastic and I don't need to get my Grand Calibre out now for cutting larger dies.

Thanks for telling me about your experience. It sounds like a great machine. Other people on the SCS forum said that it actually cuts dies better/smoother. The rollers seem to have more torque and no shims are necessary.
I did order one yesterday. I have a perfectly working Big Shot, but the idea of 3 inches more width makes it so much easier to turn my embossing folders sideways. I look forward to not having to cut up my paper to die cut things also.
Enjoy your machine and thanks for the positive feedback.

And now I'm even more tempted to get one! (Although they retail for more than $300 here).

Ahhh Now I want one, I knew I should not open this post! However I do use my big shot ALL THE TIME, so at least I can try to justify it!

I have the big shot pro (in addition to the regular big shot) and LOVE it. I recently made a notebook of all of my dies and it was nice to be able to die cut all of the shapes in one set on 8.5 x 11 cardstock for my notebook.
