So say the a's come in yellow, orange and blue, then the b's are in yellow, orange and green, then there are c's are in yellow, green and blue for instance.
I find them even harder to use up than regular alpha stickers because I don't want to spell a word with 2 green letters together, or every letter is pink except one because I ran out of pink r's and a different color on the end of a word looks odd.
Do you buy them, think about things like this, don't care, or am I just weird?

You're not weird. I avoid purchasing them for the same reasons. I also find them hard to read sometimes even if the color mixture is "correct."

When I have letters in different colors, I often feel like I have to unify them by placing them on the same color background. Either a strip of cardstock. Or have each letter on a cardstock punchie of the same color.

I don't mind using them and mixing different colours up - though it's annoying if you end up with too many of one colour.

I don't like them either. I prefer my letters to be the same color. Titles that I use different fonts I don't mind to switch colors, but I want each individual word to be the same color.

I rarely buy them. I am like you, I want to avoid having two of the same color together. I have stuck them to waxed paper and colored them with a little ink pad.

It's funny you posted this because just last night I was looking at my multi-colored letter sheets thinking when in the world am I ever going to use these??...

I don't mind them usually mix up the colors, but DO place on a coordinating piece of cs to tie them all together. Another thing is inking the edges of all the title letters with the same color ink. That ties them together, too.
Also, I make a lot of little boy pages, so titles that have varied letters, at all kinds of wonky angles usually work.
If I NEED a different color so I don't have 2 together, I will either PAINT over one of them, or use the NEGATIVE from the sticker sheet and some colored embossing paste, or some I have colored with a reinker.

I don't use a lot of letter stickers anymore, but I still have TONS of them - multi-colored, solid colored, you name it. I didn't know what I was going to do with them all but I've started using them for the recipient's name on envelopes containing hand-made baby shower cards, birthday cards, mothers/fathers Day cards - pretty much any card that I'm not mailing (not Wedding cards though). Anyway, they look cute and festive and add and little pop to the plain white envelopes - (I like making cards - envelopes not so much). And an additional bonus - it doesn't matter if you have to use different colors for the name - it still looks okay because it's usually on a white background.

I'm not a fan of them either for the reasons listed above - the likelihood of too many letters in one colour, not enough of the right colour. I've also coloured over them with ink or paint to make them match.
