I am thinking about putting some old scrapbooking stuff in a consignment sale - what prices do you typically put on consignment scrapbook items?

when I do it I price so low that a person cannot walk away from them because the deal is just too good. That is because I don't want to take them home and if I can get 50 cents it's better than nothing.
However most people use a 50% off retail price for new in package stuff and maybe 75% for gently used and free for stuff no one would want otherwise.
(I love to stalk free tables for paper where the other side is solid but the patterned side is awful.)

I do the same. Price it to move, you don't want to be hauling it back home again! I had patterned paper and printed double sided cardstock (all top name brands, but some was a little older) in packs of 24 for $3 and it didn't go. These were all papers that retailed at .89-$1 per sheet. I think I'm going to break them down more into smaller themed packs and sell for $1. Most people can't turn it down when it's only a buck.

I had always heard that anything used was pretty much sold for 10% of what it originally cost.

I agree. I used to get large 2 gallon ziplock bags and fill them with related stuff - paper, stickers, embellies, whatever and sell them for $1. If a bag didn't have much in it then 50 cents. I usually sold out of everything and got rid of all kinds of loose stuff that would never sell otherwise.
