I need inspiration! I have looked at pinterest, but I have questions. If your cabinets do not come all the way to the edge of the wall....like transitioning into the breakfast nook, do you tile all the way to the edge of the wall? or stop at the end of the wall cabinets??

When we redid our kitchen, we stopped at the edge of the cabinet. The tile guy asked if we wanted to take it to the edge of the counter top but I thought that would just look goofy...

Mines not done yet. I need switchplates and the bottom pieces of quarteround in the window opening. I went all the way to the ceiling with my backsplash and ended at the cabinet edge. Click on the pic...it gets bigger.

Another pic... Subway herringbone backsplash to the ceiling.

I used beveled subway tile in the main area. Then I used a harlequin pattern tile in the back of the niche. Attachments:

Thanks! I was thinking to the cabinet would look the best on this particular wall simply because it sort of "curves" into the breakfast nook. I think if it was a squared wall it wouldn't matter either way.

You can see how we ended ours with a bullnose edged tile just short of the rounded corner of the wall, pretty close to even with the edge of the counter. Here's a closeup of the tilework behind the range (or in the case of the photo, behind the hole where the range was eventually placed.)
