We are moving in about 7 weeks, and we're starting to pack. Fiirst up, my scrap book room. I want to pack it up and get it torn apart so we can use that space for packed boxes. I've done the "pack the whole house in a week." Not doing that again, it was exhausting.
It's going to be quite a job, as I have a lot of scrapbooking stuff. The good news, the space for my scrapbooking in the new house is so much bigger and open. I can't wait.

You can do it! It's so much easier to find what you're looking for if you group like with like as much as possible, and label the boxes well with what's inside. When I moved, unpacking was a nightmare because all the boxes my DH packed weren't labeled very well and a lot of stuff just got thrown into boxes together. Since I couldn't unpack everything right away (my space needed some buildout done first), I ended up having to go through all of those boxes a hundred times looking for specific things and it wasted a ton of time.

I moved once from an apartment to this house 28 years ago. We probably have 10 times the amount of stuff now. Since you have a little more time, you could purge as you go.

When I helped my sister move I was on the unpacking end. It really helped to direct the boxes to the correct rooms and made it easier to work out what had to be unpacked immediately vs what could be left. My favourite box was the one labelled "utensils + a tomato". Enjoy your new space!

Good luck with your packing. I wonder how many things you'll find that you forgot you even/still own.

We packed for six hours today. In the nine and a half years we've been in this house, we've moved my scrap space at least 5 times. So it has been sorted through many times.
I've packed to move many times. We had also stored all the packing boxes from the last move. It's going very well. We will be in good shape come possession date.
Just a couple of hours tomorrow.

It sounds like you are organized and have purged with all the other moves of the scraproom. Enjoy your new digs! We wouldn't mind seeing pics when you're all set up.
