Good thoughts sent your way. My ds had eye surgery (strabismus) when he was 8. It's amazing how they bounce back. I hope her recovery goes smoothly.  |

@oldpeanewname, I am sending you and your daughter healthy, healing thoughts for a quick recovery. My daughter has intermittent strabismus exotropia and has had strabismus surgery twice...once on the outer muscles at 18 months old (super-quick recovery) and once on the inner muscles at 5 years old (prolonged, harder recovery). I know that it is hard not being there for her.  Do you know if the surgery will be on her inner or outer eye muscles? Surgery is always nerve racking. My oldest had eye surgery on both eyes when she was 2 1/2. It made a huge difference. I'm wishing your dd a speedy recovery.

Hope your daughter's surgery was successful. I had ptosis surgery on my eyes ( and bleathroplasty) this summer, and the muscle repair had made a big difference in my vision and looks.
