I admit am crabby about it. I am irritated that I need 2 apps for one site. I don't care if it IS seamless and user-friendly...it's the principle. I hate that I love FB -- they don't care about the users at all, they only care about the $$. I wish I could quit you, FB!!

DD got the message on her ipad, so I told her I'd keep an eye on this thread to see how to get rid of it. I use Social Fixer on my laptop- I wonder if that would help?

I have never seen the app. No mention of it has been sent to me.

I downloaded it yesterday. It seems easy to use and I still click the message icon in FB. I figured I might as well bite the bullet and go ahead with it since it seems like eventually everyone will have to use it to message on FB from a mobile device.

I rarely use the messages on my phone so it seems pointless to download another app, I'm with those that will stick to using it on my laptop. Or will that also control the Kindle Fire?

I had to download it. I only use FB on my phone, never from a computer.
I don't like it.
If I wanted messenger to be more like texting I would just text someone. I FB message them bc I don't want to text. There's no point in making the two more alike.
I'm extreme annoyed by having to have two apps on my phone for one site. I don't want two apps. One was fine.

it popped up on mine today, meh. I rarely use FB for messaging so I think I can do without it... The only messages I have been sending are in search of family members and they charge me $1 for each message anyway! FB needs to go back to its roots. When I joined it was for college students to connect to people OUT of your network, now they want to charge? BS I miss Tom

I've had it for a while. The messenger app is hidden in a folder that I never look at. I just use the blue Facebook app as usual. It's seamless as others have said.

I find it annoying. I don't want to have another app on my phone, seamless or not. I don't use the message feature on FB all that much; mostly I get included in ridiculous group messages. I'll pass on installing the app.

I think it is annoying too. I use messages on facebook from my phone just enough that I will probably have to download this app. I am annoyed about having another app because of the storage space. Bleh.

I use the app as well, and can't remember not. A major bonus (if you don't have unlimited data)? You're not using a whole bunch to load the entire Facebook app to read or reply to a message. Messaging independently uses almost no data.

I don't understand how it is faster. It's annoying to have to use yet another app to do something.

I already have it - have used it for months and months now. It's handy and very very easy to use without having to open up Facebook. I actually prefer it a lot more. It's not so much a "separate" app, as its just more of an accessory to the Facebook app so you feel like your texting instead of having to click on this, wait for it to open, find the message, etc. Gets a thumbs up from my family and friends.
